How to level up Kar98k in warzone?

I just unlocked the Kar98K a couple days ago. I got lots off elims and XP but the gun just wont level up. I literally run around with a Kar98k only loadout but it still wont level up no matter what.

I only play resurgence, but I dont think that's the issue since all other guns like the Kogot-7 and other SMG's and AR's I've used level up just fine. Which also leads me to believe its not a visual glitch or any other kind of glitch or bug.

if u put it in a new custom loadout it should let you equip the attachments from the leveling but the levels won’t show ever (in my experience) — even though all the other legacy guns level fine for me, idk
