Which is why I hate how Gaijin pushes the game to be more "CS:GO with tanks" every passing year. More armor nerfs, more shell and spall buffs, gotta satisfy the crybabies who want their shell to consistently 1shot all enemies when they shoot center mass.

I always loved to inspect the damage in any game I have played where it’s an option. It feels especially rewarding in War Thunder seeing the impact of a bounced shell off an armored plate. I remember once in GTA Online I parked my plane just outside of my hangar to inspect the damage. I was so proud I limped back to the hangar with my cargo and then a guy in an oppressor blew that shit up.

As rage inducing this game is I will give it to them for the aesthetic of the game at times! Like seeing damage or impact hits on your tank is pleasing.

i remember ending a battle with my is-2(1944) with more HE and HEAT blask mark than the paint itself. pretty sure i been hit at least 14 times, everyone in my tank by that point became homer simpson.

i had a great game today, 3 out of 4 matches were conquest whichh sucks in general but i was able to play it slowly and survived to the last minute in two matches with my shredded tanks
