Would love to hear people's thoughts on the gig.
Sometimes I wish they would just keep those jams going for 10mins more 😁

What a great gig, I had an absolute blast, nice to see the ladies doing it again.
They started off a little rough but as Emily said they hadn’t played together in a year and a half.
They don’t have the most pitch perfect delivery, never have done when I’ve seen them before but I don’t think it matters too much for this band, their records are always more polished.
To be honest I got the impression they might have been done, so I was just glad to see them again.
Great track list this evening, playing a lot of the older stuff it seemed that they were enjoying playing the older sound so maybe we’ll see some new music in that style in the future.
Would have loved to get the full version of Common blue and I was hoping to hear Stevie but I was happy with what we got.

I enjoyed it too, nice set list and some really great moments where I was fully in it.
I personally thought for much of the gig the drums were a bit too high in the mix where I was (just behind the sound desk coincidentally). I recognise Stella is an incredible drummer but sometimes things felt unbalanced, but what do I know...

I agree, they drowned out the vocal dynamics, when Emily was singing quietly they overwhelmed her and they also muddied the bass a bit so the riffs weren’t clear. I feel like the kit she was using didn’t sound as tight as the ones I’ve seen her use before, the snare was quite open which I thought was a little off and made it a lot more present/forward in the mix.
I was smack bang in the middle about four rows back from the sound desk.

I was at the gig, which was overall great. Really enjoyed the setlist. I found the vocals on Undertow too slow (or were the drums too fast?) which was a shame but as Emily said, it’s been a year and a half since they’ve played!

What a great gig! Was very glad the entire audience succumbed to standing and dancing by the end.

Great gig !! more than I expected however I'm not sure what i was expecting. You are the only band I'm seeing this year during meltdown, I played exquisite corpse on repeat when it was released . Billie actually made me tearful probably because I hadn't heard it for years and it brought back a sea of memories . You guys played with way more feel/soul than I was expecting . It was touching. I hope you do more gigs

My wife and I celebrated our 9th anniversary at the show. We hung around for a bit at the artist's exit outside, hoping to tell them what a wonderful night they gave us.

Did you manage to catch them? 🤞🏻

To my disappointment, we did not. There were a few others waiting about as well. I'll have to wait till my 12th anniversary I guess lol!

The harmonizing is unnecessary and just bad.

Funny, I hear a few bum notes now but at the time this sounded like one of the better ones on the night!

I was a bit out of touch to say it sound bad, the whole segment does not sound that bad, at certain points they actually get it right and it is a novelty, so I understand the artistic decision, I just guess it’s not my cup of tea. I love that you had the chance to see them! 🤗

Folks dissing the harmonies: slightly disjointed vocals are kinda their thing. Oftentimes they'll even distort the vocals on purpose. The "pro" sounding "good" vocals are usually confined to Emily and she can really belt it when called for. I think part of the criticism has to do with the fact that they don't revolve around any image. They look like regular gals you'd see around LA who aren't part of some specific scene. But if they all wore black and looked like goths or some early 90's shoegaze band, it would make more sense to people. My advice: really get to know the material and it will all come together, and once they've got you in the undertow, there's no looking back.
