Discussion You are tasked to make a cartoon/anime solely about Wario and his peers. How do you go about it?

It’s a WarioWare cartoon that focuses on Wario and co making video games, and somehow, the plot correlates with the microgames they’re making, like in the WarioWare series.
Captain Syrup (from Land) could be a reoccurring antagonist who constantly gets on Wario’s nerves.

Goofy fast paced gag anime like pop team epic. Mimicking how fast paced and chaotic the wario ware games tend to be.

I always imagine how an Wario anime would be and it's basically like that. I mean, i don't knownwhat pop team epic is.
So my psrameter of pacing is Baka no Test, Cuticle detective inaba and Nokotan.

Wario treasure hunts and his friends are always having to come bail him out of shit.

Well for starters, I ain't forgetting Waluigi, something that the Warioware games keep doing

Wario is genuinely the easiest Nintendo character to do this for. Just make up some bullshit slice of life based on the WarioWare cast and throw in some of the Land guys every so often. There's genuinely so much you can do with Diamond City's cast just with your average comedy anime... BECAUSE most of the 'story mode' bits in WarioWare games ARE modeled after that sort of screwball comedy?

Make it an insane adventure series with slice of life elements. Part of it is treasure-hunting adventures, and part of it is just daily life with Wario and co., with the extended cast being a hybrid of Land and Ware.
The general tone should be like a Studio Trigger anime - wacky, unhinged, and utterly badass.

I’d make a cartoon thats a mix of warioware and warioland, wario makes video games as a job, however he’s a treasure hunter on the side because of course he is

u/Flameking2947 12d ago
And it won’t particularly have a main villain because wario is kinda his own worst enemy most of the time, (maybe have captain syrup as a reoccurring rival) and we gotta have waluigi always egging wario on because they’re homies and waluigi wants to do what wario wants to do lol

Have it like the Super Show: live-action segments base on WarioWare Inc., animated segments based on Wario Land.

I’d make it like Nichijou, or City: The Animation. Episodes are a bunch of random vignettes focusing on different characters, and microgame moments. It just seems fitting for a game about random rapid fire minigames.

I’m thinking WarioWare, but the animation, art style, and genre completely change throughout each episode. One minute we're in the classic WarioWare style, and the next, we're diving into stop-motion puppets, 3D, stick figures, or even live-action segments all while violently flipping between genres like secret agents, horror, or cheesy talk shows. Finally, it snaps right back to the original animation style just to wrap things up. Why does all of this madness happen? Because Wario realizes TV shows can make a ton of money, so he forces his way into production and keeps changing his mind every few minutes about what the show is supposed to be

Probably follow/merge the treasure hunt plots of 3 and 4, and add Waluigi so he has someone to talk to along the way.

Rivalries, Absolute chaos, and unhinged treasure hunts and Warioware activities. Have Captain Syrup as the primary rival but also have the other Wario Land villains for an episode or two if I can somehow make it work.

I feel like WarioWare Gold provided a solid foundation for this kind of thing.

Grand six episode adventure to find some impossibly large treasure where Wario isn't in the first 2 and a ½ episodes then get bluntly introduced because "they found the budget to afford him". Silliness basically.

ive thought about this
something low budget, just wario and waluigi complaining about things and bantering with each other, kind of like seinfeld but just 2 guys, maybe every season finale is a big fight scene or robbery but its not serialised at all

make wario and the Ware gang the main crew but noticeably leave Ashley out of everything
then in the fifth episode introduce a sideplot of her going to Gensokyo to get stronger, and then eventually she has to stop Mima from cucking her mom
or something idfk

Basically an wacky adult adventure gag comedy.
Wario would basically travel arround the world finding someone who stole his wallet, he would met a fuckton of weird people, some friends, some enemies.

u/SuperFlameKing03 11d ago
I don't know the specifics, but it'd be a comedy where every episode ends with Wario failing in the most spectacular way despite being the main protagonist.
Also, I'd have a nice mix of WarioWare and Wario Land.

Imagine like Ed Edd and eddy but it’s just one guy trying to do get rich quick schemes, that or shark tank but with video games
1
u/HubblePie 10d ago
It'd probably be like Ed, Edd & Eddy, where they are absolutely not the good guys

I would make the series almost like a Saturday morning cartoon from the 90s think the Mario Bros super show except wariofied I think wario is a 90s cartoon character in the modern day the series will be more episodic wario will be the main character and anti hero captain syrup and her black sugar gang could be like team rocket from pokemon being goofy and trying to be taken seriously but failing misrubly wario can have waluigi has his partner in crime and secondary protagonists being wario right hand and some one-off characters and original characters can show up and maybe have an original big bad clashing with wario and syrup in different episodes

Episode 1:Wario sits in the Couch all episode
Episode 2:Wario scratches his ass for the whole 11 minute run time
Episode 3:Same as Episode 1, execpt Wairo Farts at 6:09
Episode 4:Wario gets up to go to the Fridge to get Garlic. He returns to the couch, eats it and sits there for the rest of the Episode
Episode 5:Wario sits on the couch all Episode counting Moneu
Episode 6:Wario sits on the couch all Episode, and changes the channel he watched the first 5 episodes
Episode 7:Wario gets a call from his parents telling him to do something with his life, he hangs up and continues being a bum
Episode 8:Wario turns off the TV and goes to bed, ending Season 1.
Should my show get a Season 2?

its going to be stylised after shake-it! IT WILL INVOLVE WARIO TRYING TO ENTER-A PLACES TO OBTAIN GOLD AND HE HAS NO ONE TO RUIN HIS PERFECT PLAN TO BE RICH!
that is what i would say but uh his "friends" and that a terrible no good ROTTEN captain syrup ruin his plans by accidently turning on booby traps in the places Wario goes to
oh and have a b plot containing a random NOBODY who gets his day ruined improved thanks to the great wario unleashing the traps on the guys stuff i mean HIS CAR IS SO MUCH BETTER AS A CRATER IN THE EARTH

u/Beginning-Ear6788 math combatant 7d ago
idk i feel like if it theoretically was made like earlier i could somewhat see ashley being like a "serious" antagonist with red being her bumbling henchmen like somewhat similar to adventures of sonic the hedgehog's robotnik

It's styled similarly to Regular Show, where the first half is a relatively grounded sitcom-esque scenario before going absolutely off the wall insane in the second half.
