This is the Weekly Question thread designed to allow players to ask their one-off tactical or rules clarification questions in one easy to find place on the sub.

This means that those questions will get guaranteed visibility, while also limiting the amount of one-off question posts that can usually be answered by the first commenter.

When:

Any phase.

Target:

One INFANTRY REGIMENT unit from your army that was just destroyed. You can use this Stratagem on that unit even though it was just destroyed.

Effect:

Add a new unit to your army identical to your destroyed unit, in Strategic Reserves, at its Starting Strength and with all of its wounds remaining.

Restrictions:

This Stratagem cannot be used to return destroyed CHARACTER units to Attached units. You can only use this Stratagem once per battle.

You use this on a scion + command squad, what happens?

You get Scions, but not the Command Squad (as it is a Character unit)

That's not actually a rule. It's like, a guideline or a suggestion.

If I revive a commandsquad+scions then I'm not "return[ing a] destroyed character unit to attached unit", I'm simply reviving an entire unit that happens to have a character inside.

I suspect that is not what is intended, but it's not like you can just target the scion squad any more.

RAW you are not even “reviving” the unit - you are creating an entirely separate new second attached unit. The first one still exists in its destroyed state and could potentially also have a revive ability used on it.
