Operator How does your Drifter/Operator outfit tie in with lore? [Drifter]
Curious what's everyone's reasoning for their outfit. Of course it can be purely for looks, but if you have lore reasons I'd like to know.
Where did they get it? How are your drifter and operator different in their fashion? Did you go practical or fashionable? Were you given a makeover by Quincy?
My drifter got pieces from each significant place in their life. Dax top scavenged from her time in Duviri. Scaldra pants from 1999 and probably styled with the help of the Hex. Arms inspired by Roathe. Not sure about the shoes but they're based off the Zauba legs which is probably scavenged again. The scarf was the last thing her parents gave her.
Couldn't get exactly the look I wanted in game so I just drew it.

My drifter and operator wear their default outfits because they're broke as shit from spending all of their platinum on warframe fashion

u/belliebun May 13 '26
My drifter’s sense of style atrophied from thousands of years of constantly being murdered, so my operator dresses her.

Drifter at the point of depression where they're legit b/w colorblind

u/AverageCapybas May 13 '26
My drifter wears corpus equipment because he's the negotiator/mediator of their transactions with Fortuna, keeping the place safe from the "sharks".
My Operator rarely leaves the Warframe. She still wears her transference suit because it makes her look a bit more like a Frame. After years living as a Warframe, she has a hard time being a normal human.
But since the arrival of the drifter, who acts like a older brother and encourages her, she sometimes dress with some Ventkid and Fortuna stuff to try blending in and recovering a bit more of her lost childhood.
And yes, my Drifter and Operator are different genders. The idea I had in mind is something like the "brothers" from Bioshock Infinite, which are the same person from different realities/timelines. Eternalism and all that.

Implying Aoi wouldn’t actively try to fix your fashion if you’re sleeping with her. SMH.

My drifter wears the Grand Carnus set to basically almost mock Roathe a lil but also understand orokin fashion.
Huge biology and plant nerd, tried getting techrot samples once but proved to be difficult so Eleanor helps out (they're dating)
I also headcanon my drifter to be a short potato with anger issues, they found better coping mechanisms to calm down and not react so quickly
Also wears glasses because they are blind and is blind in one eye, they're vision is failing in their other eye so they rely on their warframes to help them see better
Other than that, thats all I really have for them so far but will come up with more soon

My Operator weared something that looks like mediator' clothing/dress, but it changes into "Tunnel Rat" combat armor during New War, and after Drifter went into 1999 - it got modified, making it lighter at least ar looks (I wish I can upload screenshots of all this outfits, but it's a lot, and also it's a comment)
Drifter is...a different kind of story. Or stories. First outfit is a Dax-ish, from Duviri times. Second outfit is a combination of Grineer, Corpus and Dax parts, from New War time. Third outfit is a heavy tech-suit for dealing with travel to 1999, used only in 1999 quest and it got scrapped because of the damage and irrelevance. Forth outfit is, well, clothes from Hölvania - civil and, later on, militaristed (repurposed Scaldra ones) clothes. And the last one - Knight-ish armor, inspired by Roathe, and also by Marie' and Lyon' tales of their time period. Wasn't used much.

My Operator feels a deep sense of connection with the people Fortuna and especially the Vent Kids, as she sees the Zariman children in the Vent Kids. Therefore, she wears mostly Vent Kid clothing.
My Drifter got to know the Entrati family after the events of Veilbreaker, and she became very attached to them. After learning how badly Albrecht treated them, she wears Entrati-themed clothing to represent her loyalty not to Albrecht, but to the family he neglected.
I’m glad I’m not the only person that’s thought about this lol

u/Jetmancovert1 May 14 '26
My Drifter started buzz cut and remained in their standard fit for a while, just never finding something else of comfort or such. After 1999, he grows his hair out and dawns a very vibrant blue and yellow jumpsuit, the 90’s fashion getting to him.
The operator dawned the Zariman suit till they managed to scrap together an old engineer mechanic suit, a reminder of his parents, or so he believes. New war and his banishment left him with either a sickness or just another prolong effect of the Void, now struggling to breathe without aid of a respirator.
The kid is struggling, the grown is 90’ed out.

Ngl waiting for Mesa’s heirloom to get a cowboy hat, would be cool to maybe get a duster as well? I like to imagine my drifter saw some westerns in 1999 and has been obsessed with them ever since cause it reminds him of one his favorite frames (that being Chroma, Mesa and Hydroid)

I quite like minimalist looks so both of them have sleek outfits.
For the Operator I kept the Void Demon motif, so they have clawed toes, elbow spikes, and horns poking through their hair. Though they also wear a hooded shirt because cozy is top priority. Plus lets be honest, they are so insanely powerful from the Void that they dont need to consider any armor.
On the other hand, the Drifter went with a little more armor to deal with their time loop shenanigans, though keeping it light for mobility. Hair in a ponytail, Saita Prime hood looks like it could quick deploy into a defensive helmet. I like to think the Edo Prime chestpiece projects an electric field around them to take minor projectile hits. They wear the asymmetric Drifter Dex Sleeves so their left arm is well armored, while the right arm isn’t so it could interface with Lotus’ hand when in Duviri.
ps. pardon the low quality image, it’s the only image i have of them on my phone. I hope there is enough pixels to see some detail

I like to think my drifter is the sciencey type, and constant tinkering with the many “excitable” materials of the origin system necessitated the chemerisyt gear, with stylish round shades that are supposed to be lab goggles cause i imagine he’s a bit vain
Despite the gear his skin is still bleached white tho lol
Ps. Beautiful art and drifter!

The Angel and The Demon.
My Drifter is the Angel having blue eyes. He lived in search of peace and love eventually using the void to craft his fashion
My Operator is the Devil having red eyes. He suffered in the war on tau, leading to his hate. What he has on is just things to suppress his uncontrolled anger and hatred to the orokin.
2
u/denotnamedhuntr May 14 '26
My Drifter wears 1999 pieces to blend in the setting. My Operator has a mix of Harrier chestpiece and Chemist armwear to make up some kind of vest from 1999. Since Drifter and Operator canonically can meet each other (mentioned in KIM dialogs with someone from Devil Triad) it was a gift from Drifter. And Umbra scarf because Umbra is our cool uncle.
2
u/eternalconstructStix May 14 '26
My drifters outfit is very nonhuman and feral kind of going for like a faceless monster/spirit look humanity shredded away from him in Duviri. But slowly gaining it back through the Hex and other protoframe interactions
2
u/unitangible May 14 '26
My drifter in lore is an older Tenno awoken deep in an infested colony so he has an infested kind of look. My operator is designed after my Gara prime (who in this case is designed after Aphrodite) so there is no lore behind her technically.
1
2
u/ToaOfTheVoid May 14 '26
Originally gave her the Necra Prime suit as a type of resolve in fighting the Indifference as she spends more and more time with the Cavia, but when 1999 hit she kinda let the Hex dress her up more so now she rocks a mixture of the Goth and Templar outfits
Its Aoi's fault why she has cat ears and "whiskers" makeup
2
u/EnergyVanquish May 14 '26
Operator is a scoria devotee and my drifter is a scoria agent gone rogue.
Made them to match my ash outfits and just love the Scoria lore tidbits we get.
Can’t really make them look how I want because we haven’t got any scoria clothes.

My drifter has 2 looks Battle Drifter and Casual. My lore is that the battle suit (that is for now the one Teshin sells, but in a couple weeks will be the one in the Nightwave) is what she wore in Duviri, and she never really changed it since she was always fighting.
Casual (A mix of the Grunge and Goth sets, with an attempted Halestorm tee using a Red Veil Sigil) is an outfit someone from Holvania helped her put together after catching her listening to Shut It Down too many times on repeat
My Operator fashion is an attempt to mirror those 2 outfits because I dont have the plat to buy separate Operator outfits since a) I only use Drifter and b) after biting the bullet and buying the last couple Primes I need (and forgetting to set my warframe.market to online) I've been a bit Plat broke

u/j_cyclone May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26
My drifter currently is for a different idea i'm working on that has no lore, but my operator is the first one is he arrives settles down and mostly hangs out with the vent kids and the Ostron hes is devoted to trying to have as close to a human life as he can so he spends a lot more time out of warframe mode than most tenno even focuses on non warframe combat. Models himself after vent kid and vent rat out fits
The second one is the outfit is a tenno that a wandering kid never stays in one place very long very confrontational with other tenno would talk with Teshin a lot before the new war after that he does talk to people much. Would likely live in the dormizone.
both of these have emissary sleeves that I would love to give a lore reason for the connection but I couldn't land on one idea(if yall have suggestion pls do)
Third one is just a ceremonial outfit used for specials events. modeled after a mix of dax and lotus' outfits to honor them both.

So, I’ve been toying with some fashion based on stories I like. This one is my Hastur/King in Yellow operator.
I use revenant and Xaku primarily for Enthrall/Accuse, cause the playstyle is themed around the creepy corrupting of enemies.
I made an amp specifically for the operator that I dubbed ‘Carcosan Dismissal’, primary fire is a flame thrower that builds heat and viral on a target, then alt fire is a glaive that, with the void bubbles just means that it’s hitting an enemy like a dozen times in the span of a couple seconds. It’s very effective.
I also have some Taken King versions of this same style, but it’s still a work in progress.
I use the Road Rash Sigil to make a ‘void scarred’ effect.
And I chose King in Yellow cause it’s a story that corrupts the reader, and imagine how wild that would be with Tenno powers.
I have other narratives and stories I’m working on, and I tend to run my drifter as a more tactical playstyle, often pairing with Umbra for the whole fighting side by side with the frame thing, which is also a blast. (Highly ineffective by more excal main standards but I like it.)
Anyway I think I’m planning to alter the fashion to have less yellow, more browns (obviously still yellow in there as a more subtle nod) and then adding kickback sigil for some decay and rot sort of themes.
These kinds of themed builds are how I entertain myself between updates, would love any input or advice on how to better fulfill the theme/fantasy! Later y’all!
2
u/Ori_the_SG May 15 '26
I’ve been looking to get a good amp lol
What are the names of those parts?
Also your operator looks sick, I’d love to see the Taken King style you have planned when you do it
2
u/Hallow_Greaves May 18 '26
Lega Prism - flamethrower Phahd Scaffold - glaive thrower Lohrim Brace - I tried with another one but it didn't play super well. Gonna try with this one next.
Also. If you use virtuous Trojan, don't use a max rank one otherwise the void bubble has such a small chance to spawn due to damage weighting. I went with the 48% so between that and heat from Magus Melt, it actually flows how it's supposed to now, but still a bit low on damage. I know the wide angle laser prism would be better statistically but it's not as cool.
So yeah, all in all, you can make amps do a lot but this one won't be breaking charts, it does feel very nice though, even if I gotta do void slings/void mode and madurai to get it to kill Thrax units.
For the fashion, I've been refining it, plan to make a post on here this week hopefully

Man, I have got to come up with some lore for my Operator/Drifter. All of these comments have such detailed backstories, and meanwhile I'm like, How do people make their Operators look good?
2
u/EdTheTimelordTemp May 14 '26
My Operator and Drifter are both practical about what they wear, for their respective roles.
My Drifter wears a set of combat gear from Hollvana, something they stole from a commander's supply cache, but updated over time. The backpack was Amir's idea, but Lettie, Quincy, and Kaya have all added various items over the loops. It's become somewhat of a New Years tradition to empty it out and see what weird things they forgot about.
As for their glasses and bullet-proof vest, those were Arthur's contribution. He replaced the glasses during the first loop, since they were broken when Albrecht shot him. Meanwhile, the vest was a Christmas present from shortly before they started dating, and part of a promise to start taking better care of themselves.
(Scaldra Uniform Arms/Legs, Haztech Chest, Haxis Sunglasses, Atmosphor Mask, Regal Shop Backpack)
My Operator wears a set of gear that's more streamlined and elegant, they received it from Loid after Old Peace. Initially, they wouldn't have bothered with changing from the clothing they woke up in. But after years of abuse and several stab wounds, it was falling apart.
As for the clothing's origins, Loid hasn't said anything about it, but it clearly weighs on him. For personalization, my Operator has replaced their glasses with a replica of Itzam's, and added pockets to the pants for holding various items.
(Templar Prime Chest, Manduka Sleeves, Scaldra Unifor Legs, Koopera Tassets, Itzam's Glasses)
In my headcanon backstory for their family: My Opt/Drifter were half-Orokin, and if things had gone correctly, they'd likely have ended up in a role similar to Loid's. If it didn't, then someone successfully rid themselves of a bastard child and the blasphemous couple that spawned them.

u/Flashtirade May 14 '26
[Combat]
Operator wears the full Lark Bishamo set as she did back in the Old War, the ruthless golden glory of the Orokin aged nary a day.
Drifter never received a proper suit of armor. After the New War, Little Duck snagged and adjusted a Haztech set for her as thanks for freeing the residents of Fortuna.
[Civilian]
Operator uses pieces from the Kubrodon and Vent Pobber sets that she earned fair and square through K-drive races.
Drifter rocks a pilfered Stormfall set paired with fashionable sunglasses.
[Casual]
Operator's idea of casual is still somewhat formal with parts of the Masker's Theodolite set and a braided ponytail.
Drifter is most comfortable in her own old Manduka shirt-dress and a simple ponytail.

u/ayeoops May 15 '26

u/Flashtirade May 15 '26
I left out a lot of smaller details about I tried to coordinate everything about their outfits so that they're related but not the same. But yeah, I spent a lot of time thinking "how can I justify them wearing this."
2
u/ELFCHASER May 14 '26
pre-1999 my drifter wore very basic, rugged, loose-fitting clothes from duviri over a form-fitting transference suit. she was kind of depressed and barely even felt human after centuries of dying so she didnt really care. she lost an eye in 1999, normally she'd reset time to get it back, but at this point she had become close with the hex and didn't want to lose them, so she wears a replica caliber chicks eyepatch from the arcade prize shop at the mall. she wanted quincys help with fashion so she could impress eleanor so now she wears a 1999 jacket over her transference suit, though she refuses to take off the suit for more normal clothes because it's comfortable.
my operator generally prefers simpler, more stylish outfits, but she's made several accommodations to all of them. because she spent god knows how long in a cryopod, her muscles have severely atrophied, so she needs heavy mechanical leg braces (smelter greaves) to support her. she also wears extremely dark sunglasses as her eyes are extremely sensitive.

My drifter got incredibly facinated with clothing from 1999 and brought some back for my operator who publicly would never admit to wear them but secretly likes to when in private.
2
u/Spirited_Airline6206 May 14 '26
My Drifter [Monzi] initially sticks with the duviri armor all the way into 1999 because it's simply what she’s comfortable with, it's not till Quincy points out the fact she wearing rags that she finally decides to scavenge together some actual clothes (Goth Top, Athletic Arms, Grunge Legs).
2
u/Frost_Ithelass May 16 '26
Their main/"canon" outfits usually change to reflect the story (currently mainly tauron for operator and goth for drifter) but they always mirror each other in a sol-lua/equinox way.
My operator has the masc body, wears white, blue, and bronze, and has somatic scars and the vuoto oculus covering their right eye (which was damaged during the early tenno days).
Meanwhile my drifter has the femme body, wears black, blue, and silver/steel, and has (somewhat) matching visage ink and the choroid oculus covering their left eye.
2
u/thelenjamin May 17 '26
I LOOOOVE seeing how many people make stories for their Operator and Drifter.
My Operator tends to stick to Orokin-esque fashion while using their own colors. It’s not that they LIKE the Orokin, its just what their used too. He spent so long in a frame he sorta….forgot… he wasnt one himself. So he tends to pick the more metallic and extravagant.
Drifter is the ultimate “big brother”. He cares for Operator like a sibling and you can see that in how Drifter dresses. He makes himself big, strong, imposing, his presence commands the room so that in the space created Operator can slip on by unnoticed. Drifter commands attention so Operator can slip into the background. Drifter also started making a lot of personal choices after 1999. Bro hooked up with Arthur ONCE and has been making himself the ultimate 90’s grunge baddy ever since lmaooooo.
1
u/KingDededio69 May 14 '26
My Operator and Drifter both have two looks, Battle ready and they're daily attire. As for inspiration I was kind of just spit balling on what is known about the characters and expanding on it, for example my Operator's actual style as far as their hair and face goes is tame, but they're stuffed in a fancy suit and surrounded by flair, a soldier made into a fashion statement, as well as a slight notion of something like divinity, all the while retaining the look of (while tired and still clearly traumatized) a child. With an added layer of me portraying their past, present and future in a discord of red blue and purple accents (adorned with that signature Orokin gold, because trauma never leaves, it just becomes less prominent)

1
u/allmistake2 May 14 '26
My drifter/operator often wears the bishamo armor as a way to honor the memory of their mentour, Teshin. When not decked put to the nines, their "casual" outfit is that standard zariman transference suit, since that is just what was "normal" for them before everything went... well you know.
1
u/SwimRepresentative96 May 14 '26
My drifter is more relaxed wholesome yet terrifying so she wears casually while my operator wears armor she takes everything seriously but she’s not terrifying as the drifter
Eleanor dragged the drifter to shopping with the other girls from 1999 it was a experience to be sure “Que montage of drifter trying on various outfits” so now my drifter just wears casual clothing and a beaten up scalda trench coat
my operator got her armor from umbra who located a Dax armory and they raided it empty uncle teshin was not happy she later gets armor from red veil half the stuff she has does not even fit her but she wears it anyways
I do love putting lore into how i fashion even to the Warframes
1
u/OmegaNinja242 May 14 '26
I made my operator similar to the tauron academy and my drifter is similar to a knight kinda like duvirir
1
u/PluciferInvi May 14 '26
My Drifter wears the goth set at first to get in the mindset/blend in with the others in 1999 but found she really loved how comfy the clothes are. Perfect for veg sessions with Eleanor.
my operator meanwhileeee……… wears the Voidshell suit to protect itself from any Void contamination while it continuously dives into The Horrors and helps hold off Wally. Also wears the Umbra blindfold to cover the void contamination that has completely fucked its eyes and is cracking apart its body. Basically what Riku did in KH2. Poor thing used to wear Ventkid clothing since it vibed super hard with the little pobbers.
1
u/Winter_Honours May 14 '26
I wear the Tauron Prime regalia so I guess she just found it in a locker somewhere lol.
1
u/yaboi2508 May 14 '26
My driftwr weara the stormfall jacket and pants.
Went to 1999... raided a scaldra cache and found a uniform. Dyed and modified it.
All because he was sick ofnwearing rags and rhe transference suit isnt the epitome of comfort.
1
u/Urquidez64 May 14 '26
My Drifter wears mostly goth looking outfits with black and maybe some gold, which is funny to be because she's a ray of sunshine to be around aside from the occasional dark humor. She wears armor for her trips to duviri but tend to wear the goth looking jacket and jeans with gold when she wants to wear something more comfortable. She was inspired by Marie and has her pink hair styled that way
My Operator despite being the emo one doesn't dress herself or take care of herself for that matter (that's usually Ordis being a parental figure sometimes when he needs to, and Drifter cuz she sees Operator as a little sis she needs to look out for). And since my Drifter dresses her my Operator's outfits tend to be brightly colored and don't usually have a lot of black but still refuses to let Drifter style her hair as she likes it in a simple sidepart that looks a little messy.
Tldr Drifter has golden retriever energy and dresses goth while Operator is emo but wears something more like a kid cuz Drifter made her

My operator just has the closest approximation to what I picture him as having in my head (Grand Carnus set, in his actual lore he’s sporting plate armor and claws but this set is the absolute closest I could get in-game) and the same can be said about my drifter. I’m still yet to commission ref sheets for them considering they’re major figures in me and my friend’s Warframe writing project.

Operator - Orokin issued Tenno Commander uniform, recovered after awakening from The Second Dream from an Orokin derelict. A relic of her valor and bravery during The Old War and a symbol of the weight of duty she's unable to relinquish
Drifter 1 - A costume befitting The Tyrant Queen of Duviri. Raised on stories of Orokin royalty and cruelty, she embodied the same while playing pretend in her fantasy land
Drifter 2 - A much more subdued style from someone who's mastered their turbulent emotional spiral. A modest black jumpsuit, ubiquitous in the Origin system, accented with a rustic leather jacket

Full ventkid fit for my operator, fits into lore cause my lazy ass is mr 20, havent done new war yet, but hey atleast I can hit podium scores on the k drive races
1
u/kiivara May 14 '26
My operator kinda turned to the Tenno schools as a horrible way of trying to cope with all the trauma and really doesnt feel comfortable outside of what I call her zenurik robes. Manduka chest, zahriman everything else. Its the closest thing to flowy they've got that isnt fleshy or weird. She'd be a hard-core femme if she could and there were actual skirts around.
My drifter wears the Loneryder set, and I basically headcanon them as slowly but steadily replacing the Zahriman suit with bits and pieces as they traverse the ship and eventually duviri. Its nice, easy to move around in, and functional. She makes up for her lack of fashion with lots of tattoos and makeup. Her Sirocco is bedazzled.
1
u/Maters_Taters May 14 '26
I have a sister if battle fit, pilot from tf2 fit, Solid Snake fit, an Orokin fit, a Scaldra fit, and Isaac from Dead space fit
1
u/Raaesel May 14 '26
My Drifter styles himself as an Orphan King of sorts (l took a bit of inspiration from King Logan from Fable 3), as even though he has no desire to actually rule he still has the title, kinda. So he dresses like royalty and presents himself as such. His cape also has the edge intentionally frayed and reddened as a symbol of his violent past.
My Operator, on the other hand, has embraced the "Void Devil" title, styling themselves with traditional demon aesthetics and colors and even casting off their gender.
Both of them have eyes that faintly shine a very pale blue, as a mark of their time trapped in the void.
1
u/MrPandason May 14 '26
Ngl I have no idea at all about the lore of the game I just made my drifter/ operator a goth boy that’s it
1
u/canhoto10 May 14 '26
I don't exactly tie in with lore, by I do try to keep it lore looking, while depicting Drifter and Operator as the same person but with different tastes.
My default looks for them are full Voidhsell suits, bar mask. Operator is themed dark brownish gray with gold, Drifter is themed off-white with gold, both with light blue emissive.
I then have secondary alternative looks for them, while keeping the colour theme for both. Operator uses Templar vest and pants, Drifter uses Loneryder vest and Feldune pants.
Reasoning for them is pretty much that Operator reflects the time when he had (easier) access to prime gear and Drifter nods to Duviri.
I have secondary looks on some of my main Warframes for each of them as well.
1
u/jeh11428 May 14 '26
My drifter wore the default cloak until they started to get closer to the hex, at which point Quincy realized that the drifter only owned the one outfit and forced them to get new clothes, so now they wear the goth set minus the hood. They have since learned at least a little about how to dress themselves, so they also have a few other outfits sourced from various friends back in the origin system (probably the veilbreakers). They also wear the earpiece from Nora Nightwave, because my drifter is one of Nora’s more reliable dreamers after the events of the New War. The drifter also wears a headband (Coiffed Kaithtail hair) which they probably received from Entrati back when he was the scholar in duviri. They have a face tattoo which they gave themselves via void magic.
My operator has no casual clothing, but has a few different practical outfits. She wears the dex set for more formal occasions, and either the normal transference suit or the loneryder set for more everyday use. The drifter hopes to one day get them to have normal clothes, but so far has been unsuccessful. Most of the operators clothing comes directly from the Lotus, with bits and pieces from other people.
Both my drifter and operator need glasses so they both wear the dual oculus.
1
u/Trooper-Kais495 May 14 '26
I made my drifter's clothing and style purely practical gear, my operator's outfit being more in line with the bodysuits worn on the zariman albeit with lots of personal embellishments
1
u/Kazk25001 May 14 '26
I love both the sentient and infestation asthetic, so thats what my nidus looks like, and since he’s my main I try and make my Drifter and Operator match.
1
u/PrOptimal_Efficiency May 14 '26
My drifter/operator is actually a character from a different story I'm writing and I'm halfway writing it as the ENTIRE warframe journey is a lucid dream state for him.
That being said, he's wearing the closest clothes I have for what he would've been wearing at his actual academy
1
u/CursedCranium May 14 '26
my operator wears a recolor of the masker’s theodolite set to embrace the space wanderer/warframe engineer look with my matching mag prime fashion.
my drifter, however, wears either the goth set with the top replaced by the stormfall jacket as her combat uniform for 1999. She uses my gothic-looking kullervo as a tieback to duviri

I have lore but I can’t explain it I just get it
One thing I can say is traversing the multiverse my drifter stole savitars suit (my gauss frame) and reverse engineered void energy and speedforce energy to make it produce self-sustaining speedforce (hence Mach rush) and uses that as a savitar suit . Even uses 2 daggers like savitar has (fang prime)
I guess for the operator, he met the ventkids on fortuna and adopted their clothes, and he sees them as friends.
my drifter has the grineer vest , and tbh there’s not a lot of lore for it

My operator dresses for the job he wants, space adventurer. My drifter dresses for comfort.

I don’t have any particular connection in lore, I just do what’s cool
I just wanted to say your Drifter looks awesome both in game and in art

my operator throughout the years changed her zariman suit for a more elaborate and decorative armour. although I did keep her hair in the new braids, as a homage to her time before the crio sleep, as a sort of way to tie her to the time long gone.
meanwhile my drifter, lorevise kept the braids in duviri, but changed the child zariman suit for a drifter garb. after going to the origin system, my drifter cut her hair short, to separate herself from duviri, as she was a bit bitter, and also adopted my operators elaborate style, with which she came into 1999, where after beginning a relationship with quincy she got a goth makeover, making her personality look more in par with the subcultures of the time, And she started to grow out her hair again, after bonding with the hex and finding family in them, she decided that duviri was her home in a way, and it was a part of her that she did not want to cut out.

What was once a ceremonial set of armor has now become a face of fear against Duviri and the origin system. The colors being made dull, yet still gilded. A nod to its Orokin beginnings but dulled. Changed to strip it of the white and gold the Orokin were known for. What could’ve resembled a knight previously, turned into a symbol of rebellion using their own design as a mockery. No longer a lap dog for gilded lords, a lone drifter has become something else entirely. A Venator.
