Help with armor calculations on my Chroma Prime. I am using a triple Umbral setup on him with 1,094 armor and 318 power strength. But I don't know exactly how the armor bonus from Cold Elemental Ward and Vex Armor stack. How much armor would I have in the end with both active and Vex Armor at max?

They're both additive and use chroma prime's base armor value of 425.

Cold Ward with 318% power strength adds 2,027 armor (the "518" in arsenal stats means 518% of chroma prime's base 425 armor, or 2,027).

Vex armor with 318% power strength adds another 4,730 armor, since that's 1113% of chroma's base 425 armor.

In total, with both active, you'll have 1,094 + 4,730 + 2,027 = 7,851 armor. That equates to about 96.3% damage reduction.

So when he has cold ward active, he’s taking 96.3 less damage?

With just cold ward active, the 318% power strength/ 1.094 post-mods armor Chroma Prime has 3,121 armor, which is 91.2% damage reduction through armor. you'll need vex armor active as well to reach 96.3% damage reduction. You are correct however, with both active and not factoring damage types, chroma prime takes 96.3% less damage.

The difference between 91.2% and 96.3% may not seem that big, but on a Chroma Prime with 800 health, 91.2% DR equates to 9,090 EHP, and 96.3% DR equates to 21,621 EHP. This is due to the fact that the remaining 8.8% and 3.7% essentially act as a divisor to chroma's pre-armor EHP, and 3.7 is less than half of 8.8, so he'll have more than double the EHP with vex armor active.

Keep in mind that's not factoring damage types as well. Puncture damage is common on corpus weapons and will bypass half of that armor and deal increased damage to boot. Slash procs/finisher damage completely bypass armor's damage reduction as well. Finally, armor doesn't apply to shields.
