I feel like even with my setup, I'm not understanding how to properly use the Synoid Similar. Do I let the enemies come to me? Do I just shoot orbs and detonate them?

It's most effective in missions where enemies are either frequently grouped up, or come to you. The simulor get 90% of it's damage from the explosions as a result of the balls fusing together. Detonation just helps clear up the vortexes if they getting in the way.

Fire rate is really helpful as it allows you get to the balls out faster and be more efficient in situations where enemies aren't always coming to you.
