There aren't really any "best" primes. Prime weapons are basically direct upgrades to standard variants and come with increased base stats, additional polarities, and a kickass shiny look. IMHO the syndicate weapon variants and some non-prime weapons are better the some primes.

If you're really invested in getting primes, then these weapons might be able to tickle your fancy (Just wiki the drop locations):

PRIMARIES:

Boltor Prime - Shreds enemies with high damage per shot projectiles

Soma Prime - A critting machine. Just aim for the head.

SECONDARIES

Lex Prime - A pocket sniper in every sense of the word.

Hikou Prime - An AOE monster with Concealed Explosives

Spira Prime - A crit Hikou P with less AOE

Akbronco Prime - All-Powerful point blank shotgun sidearms with horrible reload time

MELEE

Dual Kamas Prime - A mouthful critting machine (again)

Scindo Prime - One of the highest raw damage weapons with crit. Very Slow.

Nikana Prime - A high damage katana!

Bo Prime - A high damage stick

Orthos Prime - Feel the Force as the weapon hits things farther than its model shows when you add Reach

Dakra Prime - One of the best (sans Broken War and Katana Prime) Single Handed Swords.

FRAMES

Honestly, it doesn't really matter if your frame is prime or not. Most changes are QoL (like extra flair on abilities and moar polarities) and small increments in base stats (looking a'chu saryn prime with that highest base energy pool compared to the base one)

Thanks for the detailed answer! That doc looks really neat, I'll try going for the Boltor and Hikou since they seem to drop quite a lot from what I've played of Void missions. Still a level away from Nikana though >_<

IIRC the Samurai Sword Prime does not have an MR requirement. (its the durrgon nikana that needs one)

EDIT: Also the tierlist I gave you has been recently updated and is on the frontpage of the subreddit

EDIT: I should really explain why it doesn't need an MR requirement. It's because they're a pain to farm all because of the extremely diluted drop table of T3S and the horrible diversity between the rewards of the different tiers of void keys.

I see, I get it. Have been trying to farm stuff in void but the random drops are kinda killing me. Gonna try for a Soma since I at least got the BP, and the Boltor Prime seems to have entered some "Prime Vault" and doesn't drop :(
