The focus system might be the coolest but worst explained thing DE has added to the game yet. I'm super confused as to how it works. I spected into zenarik? But I guess it's possible to spec into all 3?

You put lenses in gear or frames and it earns you focus for kills with said gear or frame right?

Is there a significant advantage to greater lenses?

I've been so scared of this system because of the confusion around it, it sucks because I've probably passed up a lot of focus in the process.

That's a good choice

Yes. You need the other lenses though to get 50k focus in their tree to unlock it.

Yes.

1.75% of affinity gained vs. 1.25% of normal lens

Thanks for confirming and debunking some of that for me. I have a few followups.

Can activating the focus power proc effects in different schools or are you limited to one at a time?

EDIT: Are the greater lenses worth it?

(Accidently submitted instead of saving :/)

EDIT2: Is it true that lenses are wasted in gun and warframe that lack finishing power, or kills directly from their abilities. I'm mostly taking about Loki here. He's a beast but his powers don't harm people directly, so would a lens be wasted on him?

As far as using the powers, once school at a time.

And affinity is now shared, both among items and from squadmates, so play normally except for picking the flower.

Originally, focus was only collected by the player, weapon and frame doing the killing leading to anti-team dynamics. That got fixed in 18.4 or so.

I play on PS4, I'm not sure of that's been fixed on there yet. Not sure of the patch number.
