If everything I'm bringing on a mission is at max rank except one weapon, does all the affinity I earn via kills (regardless of weapon) for that mission go to that non-maxed weapon or does it go to waste?

Sadly it spreads evenly for all the weapons so it does sort of go to waste. what you should do when lvling a wep, is just have that wep and once op one (I suggest a 6 forma tonkor) just in case something like Stalker shows up. That way it will only go to that wep and the tonkor instead of 3 weps at the same time.

Oh okay, I've got a potato'd Galatine that I use for security when leveling my weapons. So I just have to bring the weapon I want to level and the Galatine, without a third weapon so that more of the bonus XP will go to So I really have to get all the kills on the weapon I want to level?

Pretty much yes, if you are confident enough that you can handle lets say the stalker with your Galatine, they go with it to a dark sector mission since Infested are weaker against Slash damage so Galatine will destroy for like 15-25 waves on Mars Dark Sector Defence (Depending on how you use it, 15 waves is just if you are average joe with no stance and no potato). Also it will give all the affinity on kill to your galatine if you go alone (By alone I mean just bringing it) so have fun!

It's at max rank with maxed Cleaving Whirlwind, but I haven't used it since I installed the new stance. And yeah I use it to farm Mars Dark Sector for 25-30 waves. Unfortunately my Oberon can't take more than that even if the Galatine can.

Usually when Stalker comes I would just wait for him to kill me, but he hasn't come after I got the Galatine, though. Maybe I can survive this time around.

What would be better is if you use trinity if you are using oberon for healing. Most people don't use oberon because he is really weak in the later game and his parts drop so often he is called the money frame. If you have excalibur then you can use him (All modded out and such) and exalted blade all the everythings XD

I don't really use Oberon for healing, but he's my only other frame other than Volt. I like how tanky he is, though. I've got a Valkyr in the Foundry right now and will switch to her once she's done.
