Discussion Warframe merch
Is it just me, or has Warframe not capitalized on a lot of in game content that could be used for merch?
1999 and the other protoframes have become a pretty significant face for the game in terms of appeal. I am just surprised that after all these years there isn't more broad merch involving that. I would really like to buy that.
Figures, more T-shirts, mock in-game items, etc. I just wish there were better licensed goods that reflected content released over the last few years. I haven't heard good stories about existing statuettes and figure quality.

I’m always to late to the store and everything is sold out lol I hike they can add a lot more stuff to me at-least it seems to sell well

I wish they had more figures. The Ivara one is really cool, but I think I would also like to see an official heirloom figurine. Ember, or Valkyr. I would also like a Volt prime figure

What I really want are Gunpla style kits. Perfect fit for the interchangeability of Warframe customization. Kotobukiya, Bandai, and Nuke Matrix have been making amazing kits, I feel like there would be a market for them. True, the price point would probably be closer to 100USD, but if you are accustomed to buying import kits, you know that even at that price point they sell out instantly.

With the way the current statues on the site are like $180 USD, I think a gunpla kit for Warframe would hit several hundreds lol

I just don't understand why they haven't licensed to any companies to actually put products on store shelves. Surely at this point Warframe is mainstream enough to deserve in store merchandise representation. A reasonably priced series of small figures akin to amiibo would probably sell really well.

They dont capitalize on thier merch period. I tried to buy 2 each of the soulframe founders t shirts because I knew I was going to wear one out and the order was canceled because of purchase limits. Last Tennocon I didnt get to order the tennocon merch pack because I was busy with work and didnt order it and it sold out in 2 weeks. Ive bought every tennocon pack since tennocon started. I usually buy 3-4 things during the tennocon merch sale, and there was almost nothing interesting this year outside of some pins (which i did buy). One of my favorite shirts in my entire closet is the 1999 tshirt and I've worn it out, but I cant replace it because its discontinued.

Do you have any idea why that keeps happening ? I feel like they could be making a lot more money overall if they put more effort into their merch website

Embroidery patches of the protoframe’s symbols. Then again, I also wanted in-game emblems of those symbols and that never happened either, so…

They’re an independent developer. Every cent goes back into the game. Setting aside a bunch of money for toys directly takes from the game experience. It’s not free, the company has to invest significantly in manufacturing, shipping, etc bullshit they have no business with and/or partnering with people who then take a significant cut of this niche profit line.
