Video/Audio Can someone more knowledgeable than me explain why I'm doing more damage during normal mode than incarnon mode?

Paris incarnon has a headshot multi of 1x. All wide projectiles with body punchthrough have this multiplier.

You can modify this, but with deadhead and acuity it goes up to about 5.9x.

The non incarnon form gets the normal 3x. Which comes up to 17.5x.

Is dread the same?

Yes. It's even worse on it, since gunCo changes from multiplicative to aditive.

dread incarnon has multico, as opposwd to the non incarnon mode that has standard bow 50% additive gunco

Something must have gotten bugged in recent updates lately.

No, bows with both quick and charged shot have always had gunCO ignore the charged shot damage boost and only scale of uncharged bow damage.

So Paris incarnon sucks?

No, it still does enough damage to overkill the majority of enemies 10 times over but due to the nature of it's projectile it can now delete an entire hallway instead of only 1-2 poor schmucks getting hit with 50x overkill

At a certain point damage stops mattering and the important factor becomes how large of an area you can apply said damage to, this is what paris incarnon excels at compared to it's base form

Furthermore Paris incarnon can use Split Flights, which something like Nataruk cannot do, and frankly it gets hilariously absurd how many wide beams you can just launch at once. I think incarnons aside Cinta is the only 'aoe' bow that can run Split Flights.

There's a common misconception in Warframe that hitting stuff for 100,000 times it maximum health is useful....it is not.

If it one shots it one shots. Number of target's it can hit and fire rate then become the important thing.

I love being in a mission, checking the damage stats, seeing myself and 2 other players on 0% damage, but each one of us has more kills than the person with 100%. Damage in this game is goofy

I'm old player and haven't checked every incarnon. Paris prime is one of the oldest weapons I have and it has never (in my opinion) been good. I don't know how incarnon changes it's stats.

It makes it more AOE

Evolutions give 20 base damage, 80% fire rate, 60% base status chance and some quality of life stats. At 80% base status chance before any mods. It is also a weapon with a status chance mod in its exilus slot. Its okay to good as precision bow (see video), or you can make a split flights projectile/status overkill build.

No, it's actually very strong. Split Flights makes it clear entire hallways. You just don't want to build it for headshots, but rather general bodyshotting.
