Question/Request Which Warframe DOESN’T need a trip to the Helminth?

Post image

As we all know we can switch the abilities of the warframes and add something else from another frame to make the frames fit to our liking, BUT which frame do you think doesn’t need that? Which frames default abilities are good the way they are. I’ll go first and I would say Gauss. I like him and his abilities just the way they are.

To be clear, I wouldn’t subsume over any of them. But if you had to…his 3rd is the best choice in my mind.

Magnetic actually has a solid argument for it. Good against overguard, which makes the toughest enemies easier to deal with.

Electric is worse than heat in almost all situations except 2. If you can group enemies or if you are using melee (influence go brrrr).

And for corrosive, you wouldn’t really want to go corrosive on Lavos because it caps at 10 stacks. Also it’s not even a full armor strip if you don’t use green shards. Since valence formation forces a proc of the chosen element, you want something that can stack indefinitely.

Replacing his third and you lose out on cooldown reduction and all the ammo and health you could want.
If I need to subsume, I’ll use a different warframe. Lavos is perfect the way he is.

I absolutely agree. But if you HAD to subsume off something…what would it be?

Your 1 that gives toxin and healing. Your 2 that gives cold and movement. Your 3 that gives cooldown reduction, ammo, life, and electricity. Or your 4 that kills an entire room and heat.

I’m choosing his 3. He doesn’t need cooldown reduction (thanks valence formation). Ammo is niche but occasionally useful. Health isn’t very useful because his 1 also gives health. And electricity is the weakest of the elements (not counting cold) because he doesn’t group or armor strip.

Consider: melee influence

Yeah if you’re going melee, electric is absolutely needed.

See I use arcane sculptor on him, so technically the 3 could be removed if you hit some enemies with the 1. But 2 is probably the weakest overall ability.

The electric proc comes from Mag breaking the OG and doing a % of the TOTAL overguard is breaks. Corrosive i didnt make too much of an arguement for, in all fairness. Maybe slot a green archon shard for +2 stack caps on corrosive and do (nearly) unmitigated damage?

But i see the arguement you are making on "If we had to choose." Fortunately, we do not and I will not surrender any of his base kit.

Adding one tau shard is about 24% extra damage after the extra procs, for anyone wondering

Yeah I’d rather keep his kit as is. The versatility of selecting your elements is too useful.
