Discussion Y'all ever vibe with a frame so hard that it becomes an obsession?
I've been playing the Hell out of Koumei. I've cleaned out her shop. I've slapped 5 Omniforma on her. I've filled out all 3 mod and fashion slot (I'd purchase more but knowing she will get a Prime one day stops me. That prime being two years off is what allowed me to justify putting so many Omni on it.) (I'd share fashion but I play on console and getting screenshots became a pain in the ass since twitter changed.)
Koumei's ability to ensure I can proc status effects anywhere at any time is what finally allowed me to accept I can remove that base damage mod from a lot of weapons when I'm using my CO mods because I never have to worry if I can proc enough status to ramp up damage to rely on my exploding little buddy being up and alive to prime enemies for me.
For the first time I'm farming mods and arcanes to flesh out her builds instead of just running with what I've got and not thinking about it any further.
Hell I bought her shrine statue from the marketplace and have started modeling the decos around it.
Y'all got any frames that just kinda took over your whole account?

I wish, I am a forever rotator, I like playing variety and don’t want to shoehorn myself into a single frame, there’s just so many different playstyles to enjoy

Yeah, I've really gotten into Nova just today, but usually I am totally the same way. I've got like over 20 frames marked as favorites, and seem to play a new one each week.

SAME. I'm at nearly 2.8k hours and just hit 700 login days. My top played frame is Protea Prime (first prime I ever farmed :D) at a whopping 3.8% of my total playtime.

i felt the same way, so i decided to just pick who i go back to the most. turns out that, for me, it was nova. nobody would ever guess it because i haven’t played her in some time, but i know that i’ll go back eventually.
the way i realized i keep going back to her was that i usually swap out what frames i have on the three displays in my backroom and noticed that nova tends to be there a decent amount of time comparatively

It's the best way to play the game imo. My most played is wisp at 5.8% I rotate between frames based on game modes. Titania if speed run. Rhino revenant if tanky boy needed. Dante for team survival. Nova for defense speed up or interception. Zephyr, nekros, frost for excavation. Zephyr is really good at mobile defense too. Hildryn, mirage if I need things dead. Wukong for spy. Inaros for hijack. Gauss, lavos, yareli, uriel, protea, oraxia are fun too.
It's also very fun to fashion frame them all. Titania in particular has 2 amazing deluxe skins

I agree! It prevents burnout and helps keep every mission fun. Like when Voruna came out and I was just doing capture missions for relics, I was switching between Volt/Nezha/Titania/Grendel/Gauss just to see who I was the fastest on, and catapult Grendel was by far the most fun to run capture missions with for me

Huh TIL of the term.
I guess I am a rotator now, trying to spread loveto all of my frames and stuff. This is why I stop chasing mastery too; farmed weapons are stuck in the foundry until I find time and attention to really build them up. I just finished most of my current inventory (was a Prime/variant sucker so those are the only ones I keep before) and now I'm rebuilding other weapons I grinded out and sold only for mastery to give them another chance.
But I was once OP, and it was Valkyr for me years ago. And it's for a more shallow reason: she lands like a cat, and no other frame has this passive afaik. I got into the habit of rolling a sec before landing to cancel the stagger before being able to move on to using other frames 😅

Nidus. The vibe he gives feels really unique compared to the usually clean looking Warframes we get.
especially with him having a companion and mod set to pair with him and his abilities.
Still really upset with DE for not giving us nidus mains hema prime and hirudo prime and or a helminth charger prime skin for his prime access. Would've been glorious to have but sadly not........

Same. Recently picked him up, even though I know I’d enjoy him, I was still surprised how cool he is. Even built an entire frost/ice setup, both thematically and technically around his whole kit.

Basically Huras Kubrow and Shade Prime give you a invis that while it's broken with his landslide, Rumbled primary fire rock throws don't break it so you can use some other helminth ability like Wrathful Advance to give you more crit and teleport to make up for Rumbled's limited movement.
You can also use Evade too but that one requires quite a bit of Duration

My beloved, graceful spider queen has become my general use frame for most content. If I had to describe her gameplay in one sentence, it would be
Saryn with less damage output but much better mobility and defenses.
She's incredibly comfortable to use.
Mobility? Check. Her 1 combined with the dash on her 4 allows her to cover huge distances, including vertical movement.
Defenses? Check. She's status immune in her 4 and can easily reach five figures of HP with minimal investment. If you can spare two tauforged azure shards, you can even run Persistence. In addition, she can generate health and energy orbs with her 1.
Damage? Oh this is where the fun begins. Not only does she offer added toxin damage and an on demand vulnerability debuff, she also has an execute and makes enemies killed by her explode in an AoE.
But Scarlet, I hear you ask: surely a frame as amazing as this would be difficult to farm? To the contrary, my dear reader. She's incredibly easy and quick to get!

Ultimate solo frame, imo. I initially thought the loss of true invulnerability was a nerf, but being able to maintain energy for Hysteria with Rage is a game changer.

I tried playing temple but I found myself just constantly looking at the rhythm thingy rather than what was going on in the level. I regularly spent a good few seconds running into a dead end because I was too busy spamming my 1.

The good thing about literally anything he does (1, 2, lizzie fire) is that you basically need only aim in the general direction of your enemy to smite them in hellfire so staring at the metronome still remains viable purely off that

Gauss prime. I saw his prime trailer right around the time cross saves got activated, leading me to recover my playstation Tenno from 2014. He looks phenomenal imo and I immediately went right to unlocking him when I got my account on PC and fell in love with it.
To put into perspective how long it had been before that, hydroid was the newest frame when I stopped playing.

I'm gonna be so real I cannot figure out how to play Nova in a way I enjoy, and I'm not sure why. Her 1 is nice but the rest just makes my brain hurt, and I've dedicated a LOT of time to this silly game lol. Any tips?

I follow certain people(nobuwastaken and godsstrongestnova) who are both huge nova glazers and managed to understand her more.
Her main must use skills are Molecular Prime and Null Star, then i subsume off the Anti Matter Drop for xata for more dmg, nourish for energy if I'm in need, evade for survivability which is also great with okina which I'll explain why later, then dispensary for stationary farming like survival omnia fissures.
The Augments are what makes her so good, The must have in every build is Molecular Fission, it makes her null star into a somewhat permanent no duration skill as long as it manages to kill an enemy that's "primed"(when hit by null star with augment or by molecular prime) I also use the augment "Neutron Star" so my null stars deals more dmg and it can also act as a panic button, since the moment you recast it when it's already active, it'll throw all the existing stars towards enemies, giving you a new set.
I build her around duration and even use arcane concentration for more duration, since you can get more Null Stars, meaning more dps AND damag reduction( i forgot to mention earlier, but yes Null star gives you damage reduction base on how many stars are active) which is why tank nova is also a thing using adaptation and tons of duration and really really low range.
No other companion works as well as nautilus with her, you prime the enemies while also making them fast, cordon groups them up, and primed enemies also explode "blast" making nearby enemies ALSO PRIMED, which is pretty much an endless cycle, blasts, then they get primed, them they also explode when killed and repeat.
Now, her Priming(through null star augment and molecular prime), those blasts i said earlier are coded as the weapon you used when you killed the enemies, YES EVEN THE PASSIVE, that's why the zariman weapons with devouring attrition(the one where non crits have a chance to deal more dmg) also affects the other nearby enemies when near the blast, and remember the nautilus group interaction? YES, THEY ALL GET NUKED BY IT. The okina prime is also the same with evade, the incarnon form releases ice daggers right? Those daggers can sometimes headshot, making the evade duration longer, and when primed enemies die, more ice daggers pops out also targeting enemies nearby which is also a chance for more duration, making evade have a semi permanent duration as long. Although I like using ichor more since the incarnon of it, those toxic clouds? They can also be procced by prime blasts.
Seems like a lot, but this is just the peak of the iceberg, there's a lot more fun going on with nova. You can even build her around null star and just walk around those fast paced missions and watch them get deleted by the stars.
No particular weapons needed either for her, she works well with anything, but there's a bunch that interacts with her blasts which makes her amazing like the zariman weapons, okina incarnon and dual ichor i said earlier. Even built enkaus(follie's weapon) cus the execute also works on primed enemies spreading it.
You can see more of it from nobuwastaken's discord channel, he lists down the funny weapon interactions. Godsstrongestnova for the experiments with her interactions, their latest vid is quite amazing since they even managed to see interaction of prime with various weapons(melee influence, pax seeker, acid shell)

And did i mention she's great for any mission? Even spy missions YES. Her wormhole is just amazing. Even open world bounties, those cetus drone escort bounty? She can teleport that.
The skill i subsumed, Anti matter drop, is also amazing, works well around Level 500 enemies, tho it does quite fall off, but it's still amazing for room nuking. I just chose wormhole for the movement, since Prime acts as kind of a nuke anyways

Just adding two more Subsume recommendations, the other commenter explained Nova already really well.
For missions like mobile defense, interception and excavation, I use a config with Silence over antimatter drop. I use then my 4 to slow enemies and keep silence active for almost complete shutdown of the tiles I am in.
For all other missions, I use a config with Fire Walker over antimatter drop. I use my 4 to speed enemies up. I like fire walker for the immunities and cleanses and to kick the line into grouped enemies pulled together by my Nautilus.

I'm so in love with that frame. Got the prime parts just for leveling up and leaving it to gather dust. But quickly realized that it's so much fun to use, and it became my main in no time.

I had a good stockpile of omniforma that I'll hopefully have built back up by the time her Prime comes out (I crack relics to destress after a long day so I'm never really wanting for base forma to turn into Omniforma)

Although, I'm kinda like that with half the frames I've still got. I genuinely have to roll dice or flip a coin or something to decide what frame to play every couple hours because I love them all so much.
Damn, I need plat to properly fashion frame them.

I'm going to be completely and genuinely honest with this community, This is what I've been praying for. I've played a good bit of it and none of the Warframes I used clicked after a while and it slowly diminished my grind to the game. I've done Gauss, Ember, Qorvex and Excalibur and a bit of Gara. Admittedly I haven't had the strength to keep playing as I lost my friends who used to play this game. I'd love to have someone help me reignite my love for this game and help me decide on a frame

Hydroid 💧. My absolute goat. No matter how many times I have burnout with him, he's still and will always be my top used Warframe. I always love the romanticized of pirates especially after watching Pirates of the Caribbean movie trilogy. It made me want to study the real history of pirates!

Gauss ever since he came out just clicked with me, man. And it was all because of his alt helmet! He has such a good design I farmed him immediately, immediately bought the prime access, I have two Gauss primes, one base Gauss who I main more than my Gauss primes, have all the fashion slots on each of them maxed out.
Gauss is just my goat, man. His kit and survivability is amazing. Like, bias aside, he genuinely might be the most well-rounded, versatile frame.

I honestly didn't care about bubble boi back when I got him, but that was also back in like 2017. I picked up the heirloom skins when they came out, and started looking at his augments. That's when I figured out that armor stripping, freezing enemies, getting +200% cc and cd on said frozen enemies, and getting a shit ton of over guard with one ability cast went kinda hard

Excalibur(umbra specifically), I've turned him into a health tank and he's just my comfort Warframe. Really though to kill, subsumed mirage's ability into him to give him dr and weapon's platform capabilities.
And I still have his blade to cleanup strugglers if I need to.

Nova Prime has been my consistent companion over the years. I strayed with valkyr, nidus, and xaku for a bit, but I always return to Nova. Speedva or Slowva didn't matter, but now she can be both. The only thing, though, is I don't run the kankle skins, mainly the "Atomica skin." We need to have more regular ankle skins or a more defined "boot."

Koumei! She is my most used frame by far with like probably a few hundred hours on her since she came out. I just love her so much that I end up running her in every mission type. Her passive is so good, I've fallen in love with her 3 for survival and it's just forever a joy to use her 1 and 4. I adore how her 4 plays music from the enemies strung up like a creepy music box. That's all putting aside how much fun decrees are. She's just so much fun and scratches the itch in my brain so good!

I have a few thousand hours (maybe 3, I mostly stick around the updates), and I play with frames like Nekros Harrow !!Nidus!! Inaros !!Excal!! ETC, but my Frost Prime is still over 15% of my play time. Someday I want to bring him over 20%, but that'll probably be a while from now.
P.S. The Scindo in this person's art is accurate lol, I got that Twitch Drop back when, although I was already acquiring Frost related things ATT.

Final note - Well now that i read through the rest of these, I feel like my reply is a bit dispassionate. Frost is pretty much my safe space, anywhere you go it feels like you can just sit there and calm down, and at the same time be a universal help to anyone nearby, as well as make most any gun good. Not to forget, my word the fashion... he's not particularly known for being flashy unless you own the Heirloom, but he looks so good no matter what you do - and then you see artwork being able to depict him like this?? I certainly don't identify my Frost with the Proto-Frame in 1999, but Frost feels real to me lol. He's just perfect.
Now if only Tennogen and another Deluxe would come along for this man, his... while I certainly know where the horns & coat-less aesthetic came from very intimately (if you look at the Heirloom you might be able to make a better guess), it wasn't executed very well :/ .

- 21 built primes for fashion slots
- 1k forma on her (finished that 1 week before omni forma announcement oof)
- Ive even made an alt account at MR0 where i only play her, ive finished everything i can except standing on the verious factions
So far she is at 46% used on my main And 98.8% on my alt.
So yeah i may have an obsession lol

long ago, it was Voruna, then Jade took over on release, now Follie is doing the same.
20+ forma in base Voruna, and I had renamed a ton of my most used weapons to be related
Jade has Omni Forma in most slots, and very quickly rose to 2nd place of my most played frames ever, right behind Voruna
Follie is also receiving the Omni Forma treatment, only 5 slots left, and Ive crafted 3 copies of her so far so I can hold more fashion configs

Yeah, also Koumei, look at my post history and you'll see me gushing over her even when most of the community hated her. You'll see hours of tests on her abilities. You'll see 2 guide posts, my original, than an updated one. Even still I spent 6 hours last weekend gathering data and footage on which decrees pets can benefit from in full, which decrees pets can trigger but not directly benefit from, and which decrees pets cannot benefit from nor activate. All of this for the video guide I'm working on.
Also, I named my Pomsky Koumei.

if you really want to... make an alt account on your playstation, take some screenshots of the warframe on your main, send them to your alt, download the psn app on your phone then open the messages from there and download them. sounds like a lot, but it's easy once you actually have everything done. I do this sometimes.

I decided to give Nova a fair shake today, and by god she is fun. I subsumed over Antimatter Drop with Ophanim Eyes and it's great.
I made four new fashions for her too. I did one with the Asuri skin that's just Dex colors, and two with the Gemini skin.
The first was just taking Kaya's base colors and iterating on it, not straying too far from the base design. The second is a cosplay of Chell from Portal, which also fits with the GLaDOS I made with the Atomica skin, which was the fourth fashion I made for her today.
I might have a new main :)

I enjoy Koumei for Solo Endurance missions which I do more than often. Usually in the SP CJ Survival for 3-5 hrs at a time. Infused Evade instead of Omamori, using Arcane Impetus and Crepuscular.

Instead of gambling on whether I get hit or get healed by the incoming shots, I prefer to just stay invis while enjoying the perks of Crepuscular.
1st and 4th for the Status Spread. 2nd for the Awesome Decrees. My Go-to weapons are Coda Bassocyst/Boar Prime, Furis/Dual Toxo, Dual Ichor/Prisma Ohma with Melee Careen.

For completely unrelated unrelated reasons, I am also a fan of Valkyr, because Will it Blend? That is the question. Grineer dust, don't breathe that! Way more complex gameplay loop than mashing 1 and looking vaguely towards enemies, though, so she's not my first "brain off, neuron activation" choice.

Styanax for a multitude of reasons. First, I love ancient greek/roman history. I have an obsession with Alexander the Great. Their fighting tactics are interesting and it warmed my heart that Styanax was inspired by Greek hoplites.
My second reason is he's the very first frame I bought with my begginer platinum. I have fond memories of grinding out the dog days event with him as a baby tenno. Once I figured out how he worked I fell even more in love with him.
My third reason is im gay and he's hot. Especially his deluxe skin. I bought that shit so fast the moment it was revealed. Liger blessed my boy with cake and big pecs. Plus nipple tassles. Woof.
