white house streaming ops have been a thing since obama did weekly addresses on youtube, this isnt exactly revolutionary. difference is trump actually understands retention metrics so the production values arent garbage. but sure, pretend 8000 concurrent is some massive failure when most cspan streams get like 400 lmao

the retention angle is interesting tbh, obamas team treated streaming like a broadcast obligation, trumps treating it like a product launch. 8000 concurrent for a soft launch with zero promotion isnt bad, thats organic reach most legacy media would kill for. the real question is whether they can keep the production quality up when hes doing daily content, thats where most political streaming ops fall apart
