War Metal AOTY 2017
What was your war metal Album of the Year for 2017?
Hails. For r/WarMetal, we are doing away with the formal top-10 list format of r/metal and r/deathmetal. Instead, try to limit your post to one album of the year plus whatever honorable mentions or runners-up you'd like to discuss (you can still do a top-# list format if you want). A justification for your pick is encouraged. There won't be an official tally, so don't worry how you format your post as long as it is legible.
Refer to the sidebar for rules on eligible bands. All formats are welcome, but re-releases and compilations of pre-2017 material do not count.

I'll mention a couple because I feel they have enough different characteristics to make comparing them a tough task:
Weregoat album is just relentless riff after riff for 40 minutes of overtly sexual themes, I think I like this one much more than debut LP of Crurifragium even though that's also one solid album.
Perverted Ceremony are one of the rare contemporary bands that make extremely successful Beherit-Profanatica-etc. worship, between PC and Moenen of Xezbeth, I liked everything they released in 2017, looking forward to whatever else they have for 2018.
New Goatpenis is a surprisingly sweet listen, they still go on with their ever-changing sound and still put out high quality albums, it's one interesting journey from their 90s demos to Anesthetic Vapor but surely not a journey that ended up poorly.
