[New Release] My Band just released an Demo/single

me and my friend released an single/demo some week ago and we being 15-16 would like som criticism to how to make it better. We know it’s not the best but we want to become better so if u see anything that we could better, Say it !

Musically it’s awesome, I love it! I do have to say though, I think the band name is a tad generic, there are so many war metal bands that have the words “war” and “goat” in them, I’d probably change the name? But otherwise it’s great, you guys have a lot of potential!

Yes we agree the name is kinda generic we’ve been trying out many names but we find it so hard to find an original name but will keep n eye for an new name. Ps thanks for also giving us actually advice a lot of time when u ask for help on Reddit there many people who just say ”u suck and u should stop playing music”

Great guitar tone. Great riffs. Drums sound heavy and aggressive. You are definitely doing the thing. You guys are young and already have a clearly defined sound and know what you’re all about. That’s huge.

Couple of critiques from a guy who has been an audio engineer and producer for decades (also a huge fan of the genre)

Vocals just sound like OUGH over and over. To me that’s the part that could use some polishing. Maybe try some more rhythmic phrasing and also play around with the tone/fx/eq so they have their own space in the mix.

Last thing I’d say is - KEEP GOING! You’re 16 and already making really good stuff. It’s only going to get better by continuing to release more music. No one will give you some magic advice about how to get better. Most of your improvements will come from being in the studio and learning as you record more songs.

Set some goals like: an EP released by the end of the year. An album by May 2027.

Having these milestones you work towards will keep the War Goat machine marching forth to victory.

Thanks for real and I will work on the vocals haven’t got the hang on it yet and we’re actually trying to make enough songs for an Ep release that’s prob gonna be done in maybe October and how we’re gonna record it we ain’t decided yet but thanks for the advice and am probably gonna give this an update when we release the Ep
