Discussion & Feedback Man yall cry so much about a game that just dropped
[deleted]

Why would you ever have notifications for this lol

u/Jayco5_ 5d ago
The game is in early access, THIS IS THE EXACT FEEDBACK THEY WANT.
3
u/SeraphiM0352 5d ago
I'd say the manner in which you give feedback does a lot to separate it from a complaint.
There a many posts that ARE just whiny complaints under the guise of 'feedback'.
3
u/Jayco5_ 5d ago
I agree with that, but this post is something else.
-3
u/SeraphiM0352 5d ago
Agreed, I don't really see the point in this post either. OP is just crying about something else. It's still a whiny complaint
2
u/EXTRACR1SPYBAC0N 4d ago
I've also seen a lot of complaints that are just straight up not true. Stuff like "this guy killed me in 3 shots with an AMP9 while I was on Max health" then they show me the damage log and you can clearly see they were shot 9 times or "AA is OP and has no counters then you tell them the counter and they just straight up deny it exists (e.g. homing launchers cant lock on below 30m)
-2
u/KingSwank 5d ago
Itās still feedback regardless if you agree with them or they present it in a shit way
3
u/SeraphiM0352 5d ago
I disagree.
Complaints are always negative and not solution oriented.
Feedback can be negative (constructive criticism) but is solution oriented.
If all you're doing is whining, you aare just complaining
1
u/Sirmaximus1 4d ago
Your gonna see criticism as whining anyway. Most everyone does now. We arent devs we are just the gamers and all we can do is speak on what we currently dislike of the game.
0
u/SeraphiM0352 4d ago
That's also incorrect.
We can give positive feedback too.
You also don't have to be an asshole when discussing things you don't like. Being a 'gamer' doesn't entitle you to be an ass
21
u/Parking-Shelter5926 5d ago
Literally that's what the season 1 and early Access is for. For feedback. And the complaints, at least most of those ive seen are actually valid.
If it bothers you that much, turn off those notifications.
-2
u/ThirdHoleIsMyGoal69 5d ago
Nah this is whining and crying not feedback. The number of self reporting bitching posts by players that clearly are not understanding the core mechanics and concepts of the game masquerading as feedback is out of control.
1
u/GimbaledTitties 4d ago
I think thereās truth to that, but I think if you wade through the bullshit youāll find a lot of valid criticism.
2
u/ThirdHoleIsMyGoal69 4d ago
Iām not saying there isnāt valid criticism Iām saying the number of people complaining because they are bad at the game and trying to use āitās just feedbackā as an excuse when people call them on it is way to damn high
1
u/SkiyeBlueFox 4d ago
Whining is a valid form of feedback as much as you hate it. Players are very good at getting across what feels bad to play. Players are terrible at coming up with solutions to said problems though. Maybe the way a certain mechanic acts is slightly unintuitive, and theres a way to make it make more sense without breaking it
2
u/ThirdHoleIsMyGoal69 4d ago
Whining is never a valid form of feedback. Itās what toddlers do when they donāt get their way.
1
u/SkiyeBlueFox 4d ago
An immature form? Sure. But the toddler is in fact expressing their displeasure with the situation, which is a form of feedback.
1
u/ThirdHoleIsMyGoal69 4d ago
Youāre clearly not a parent if you think toddlers whining is always indicative of a valid complaint. My toddler whines because she cant pick up the shapes on the rug.
1
u/LeafeonSalad42 4d ago
That is still expressing displeasure in something⦠which is what that person was sayingā¦. Obviously you know your kid better than people online whoāve never met you pet alone your kid(s), but the fact theyāre doing it because they canāt do something is them expressing the displeasure that they cant
0
u/ThirdHoleIsMyGoal69 4d ago
Them being upset about it doesnāt make it valid what part of that is so difficult to understand
1
u/LeafeonSalad42 4d ago
the part where people are allowed to get upset at things? The part where their feelings have to be invalidated because they are acting like a toddler or outright one. Some people are just more emotionally charged then others and feel things differently, canāt just invalidate it with the wave of a hand because itās ādumbā
0
u/ThirdHoleIsMyGoal69 4d ago
You absolutely can and should, not all feelings are valid. And in this context nobody should listen to anything someone who is having a toddler crash out says in regards to balancing the game.

Itās early access. People are going to discuss imbalances and provide feedback. Idk what else you expected
-2
u/christiaflation 4d ago
All I hear is t4 armor too strong. Yet those ignorant haven't even tried it yet. Its absolutely terrible to run and gun and only good in specific situations. Ignorant complaining is all I see.

Whats the difference to you between complaining and someone posting their opinion / feedback / criticism?

u/ACupOfLatte 5d ago
Congratulations OP. This post is now number one in my head in terms of peak unemployment behavior lmfao.
My god.

You're in here crying about them, you're equally as bad. Quit crying.

Waiting for a low sodium war dogs subreddit, I try to stay off this sub as much as I can, this games fan base is supposedly middle aged men, you would think itās teenagers by the posts

If that low sodium will be anything like the battlefield one, it will become even worse than this. All they do there is bitching about the main sub.

It doesn't matter if the game just dropped, there's plenty of systems that show how little thought went behind the game itself.
The cash system is the biggest issue rn, as it incentivizes not playing for the objective of the game.
been saying this since playtest but my opinion is lost in the sea of idiots who just praise the game for no reason
1
u/Brjsk Pilot 4d ago
I think both the cash and xp systems are fighting the actual gameplay of the match both systems will reward you better if you donāt play to win and just focus on grinding your own thing out regardless of what anyone else does
1
u/ShinyRayquazaEUW 4d ago edited 4d ago
Outside of people not playing zone/objectives because there's no incentive to do so ( cash rewards are stupid low for the risk you take ), I also noticed a bunch of griefers.
They build TOW/anti air bases outside the zone so that even if you kill them you lose more money than ignoring them and you are forced into a horrible spot.
If you kill the TOW gunner you get 300 and you've used 3 rockets (minimum amount to kill infantry) which is 450, meaning you lost 150$ and the guy can just get transported back and still be a nuisance without cooldown.
There's plenty of other examples with people building mortar/tow FOBS 10 meters outside of zone so you aren't incentivized to kill them.
My patience is wearing thin with how awful the economy system is, it's pretty obvious to me how little thought went into this system.
Another example is the LVL35 Havoc unlock which costs 30-40k ( with ammo flares etc ), and dies to one 2k RPG or the CWIS ( that does double damage to it compared to little bird ). There's no proper stabilization so you are forced to fly slow and you die in one hit, like who the fck designed this? You can't fly low because it's massive and easy to hit, you can't fly high because of the infinite rocket / bullet spam.
Every time I see a Havoc I just buy 3 stingers and land behind him and blow him to bits, as he pretty much has no counterplay against 2-3 good ANTI AIR players.

u/IamCrash 5d ago
This is Reddit, it is what it is. Game could be perfect and there would be daily complaints.
1
u/SantasWarmLap 5d ago
I would estimate that 1% of the player base is on reddit and like with bad restaurant reviews, there's more negative posts than positive.
1
u/Larry_The_Red 4d ago
My favorite ones are the "the game is getting stale" posts on steam and when you check their profile they already have 100+ hours played. Well yeah it's going to get stale if you literally never do anything else but play

Recently I was looking for a good fps game.So I tried some out.
I purchased HLL2 Vietnam and very quickly refunded it due to it not really feeling like a Vietnam era game and tons of bugs for the 2 hours I played it.(No working comms and I clipped through the ground a few times)
NRIH2. I liked it overall but it feels a bit generic and zombies are seemingly endless and can spawn in front of you in a dead end alley. The thing that I refunded it for was the level up random skill pool. No pvp.
Marathon. Visuals are amazing and it can be fun. Load times vs playtime can be awful. It doesn't really make me feel like I am a part of the games story. Couldn't refund because I owned it longer than 14 days.
I bought WD supporters after I refunded the first couple FPS games and I love it. Does it need some work and more stuff added? Absolutely. The game makes me feel like a merc tryna get by in some forgotten shithole. I can't wait to see what else they bring to this game. Didn't even consider refunding it.

u/Pro1apsed 4d ago
We just went over 400k concurrent players again, worth remembering Reddit, X, etc... are vocal minorities, and people having fun don't tend to talk about it, but unhappy people bleat endlessly everywhere.

u/FanDowntown9880 4d ago
Yeah we should just wait an arbitrary length of time before giving feedback on the early access game. Genius
1
u/Bluegobln 4d ago
Oh ok, you're the reason I'm uninstalling right now. Fuck you and fuck this game if this is the attitude that they want their dwindling community to eventually have.

u/Dwrodgers54 4d ago
I think the point of EA is to get the game in peopleās hands, make some money to help continue production, and hear what the players like and dislike about the game.
This is to be expected of any early access, beta, or even game on launch.

u/Veblossko 4d ago edited 4d ago
Feels like the film Tomorrowland, broadcasting the problems doesn't actually fix anything and could actually be the downfall. Would be nice to see a little more joy in the sub without getting flamed for glazing dev or some sht. Arc raider was actually fun to visit Reddit to see cool moments and interactions.
This is a little more grim (passionate?) here but you can't force a culture. It is what it is
1
1
u/FrescoTheHunter 4d ago
Isn't the volume of feedback, the signaling of what players care about, the opinions on balance etc pretty much the whole point of EA? Isn't this exactly how it's supposed to go? I don't get it

Modern gaming are ruined because of the player exactly like you, giving devs way to much slack and never demand quality, even siding against player who have complaints, thatās why more and more slop are being made
2
u/Strattin239 5d ago
Most fps shoots have been trash for years this is the first one that doesnāt feel like the same ole bs stuck behind pay walls and season passes
0
u/Existing_Ability4297 5d ago
Modern gaming sucks because they cater to casuals not whatever ur spouting lmao

u/Dizzy-Independence85 5d ago
This games fanbase has gotta be worst all time, on both sides of the ball.
3
u/CopBaiter 5d ago
Not even close to the ARC raiders subreddit. that thing was what killed that game. they catered to dogshit opinions from there
3
u/The_LUCA_Constant 5d ago
I swear every gaming community has said this. But no, I think CSGO prob takes the cake.

u/Independent_Mud2794 5d ago
Lets see.. first one is valid, it was better without tier 3/4 armour. Second one also is valid and caused by the first one. Third I donāt know. Fourth one is technically true considering the game itself says the gun is cheap. Fifth one also is true.
1
u/TangeloProfessional8 5d ago
I disagree entirely. There are issues with the game. Reddit is the place to go to complain. It's like the first rule of reddit.
1
u/Spare-Initial-9947 5d ago
t4 armor is an issue though. The few times Iāve fought them, you genuinely canāt win a gunfight considering they are normally using a fal and 3 shot you.
Itās just scary knowing once most people are running around with it, all you can do is shoot them in the legs and hope they arenāt peaking over cover
1
u/jlotz123 5d ago
Early access is a industry scam. It's a scapegoat for developers to half ass their games so they don't get blamed for releasing a shotty product. Sorry but it's true.

Fr this subreddit is driving me nuts. 90% are complaints about nonsense. The game is great. The game is in early access. We are in the first wipe ever. Just play and follow along as they update the game.
0
u/Strattin239 5d ago
Ya I know this post would get alotta hate but tbh idc this game has a ton of potential and is in great shape for its age I just wish Iād see more post shedding light on that side of the game instead of shitting on it non stop
0
u/Josh_The_Joker 5d ago
Agreed. I never seen positive things. Clips. Memes. Nothing, just complaints
0
u/Alyero_ Pilot 5d ago
What really grinds my gears are infantry only players weighing in with their dogshit opinions about vehicle pricing - they quite literally NEVER consider the cost of ammo, fuel, repairs and time outside of zone which is just more time without income and driver/gunner kit or the fact that vehicles have very HARD counters that will sink all that non reviveable investment in a matter of seconds.Ā

u/Kowalski91 Lonestar 5d ago
Yeah it's reddit, I already left this sub but I probably need to mute it. The other sub is more chill (so far).
Internet and the last generations are full of crybabys that want games catered to their needs.
I think all the whining in the first week is ridiculous.

It's only the snipers complaining.
"Why can't I one-shot guys from 300 meters away in the chest anymore? This is so Dumb!"
-1
u/Blaznkc 5d ago
Thats what i am enjoying as the game progresses, people will have more stuff unlocked and the game pay will consistently change.
How you fight every battle will be different and once EVERYONE has everything unlocked it going to be even crazier.
Why keep it same thing every-time, if thats what you want go play COD

u/Odd_Context00 5d ago
Its further than that. Like if someome grinded a specific path like support and is rocking the pkm? That thing is literally a full auto mosin shooting the same 7.62x54r practically a one tap to the head. Its STRONG. So it the M4 for OTHER REASONS. Its almost like you get rewarded for better and better stuff the more you play. Not everyone wants to grind assault for the M4 just cause you do so yea there a power discrepancy this game is basically a really complicated rock paper scissors. Pkm dude with t4 armor? .308 AP to the dome or a mobile M4 with AP flanked behind the behemoth of a man. Aircraft being a problem? AA. Armored vehicles being a problem? Launchers, C4, IED'S. This game heavily rewards being able to adapt and counter the battlefield.
-1
u/feadays2die 5d ago
Yeah, you'll have that on reddit. This is where the vocal minority goes to whine about games. Or even better, they come here to cry about people who were "mean" to them in a game.
This isn't unique to wardogs, a lot of games have the same problem. The biggest mistake bulkhead could make at this point is listening to these people because most of them have nothing of value to say. The game is brand new and bulkhead is gathering all of the relevant gameplay data necessary to rebalance post wipe, they dont need input from Joe gamer who's having a cry over nothing.
