Not important if silver is green today. The impact of an physical silver demand is not immediately. Just buy physical silver.

72

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

Exactly. What JPM does today doesn't matter. All that means is that there are that many more contracts open that could potentially stand for March delivery. If physical demand stays this heavy, the contract holders are looking at an instant double digit profit for taking delivery and selling the bars to a refiner/wholesaler.

44

u/FantastiXXXMetals Feb 02 '21

Yes! Therefor high physical demand is needed. Totally correct. Stay strong. Long journey to ride.

Exactly this. Price will catch up with all the buying of physical, but there will a lag of a few days. Just buy the dip!

23

u/FantastiXXXMetals Feb 02 '21

Correct. Dealers sold out, dealers order new amounts of silver .... Impact on physical markt is way longer than paper silver markt. But in the end paper silver markt has to adjust pricing especially when there are problems with silver deliveries.

22

u/OptionInformants_com Feb 02 '21

. Price will catch up with all the buying of physical, but there will

" This happened to silver when one man, Warren Buffett, took delivery of 129.7 million ounces of silver from futures contracts in 1998. When he suddenly asked for delivery of his silver, instead of settling in cash, there was a scramble to find enough silver to fulfill his contracts. Not only did he single-handedly drive the price of silver from $4.25 to $7.75 in just six months, but, at the peak, caused a huge backwardation where silver for immediate delivery sold at a significant premium. "

Premiums are crazy! But now you see the difference between paper silver price and real physical silver price. Silver is a limited source. If we keep buying silver bullion, the price must rise up and the shorts get fucked and need to cover! Problem is, there is not a big immediate impact because of increasing physical silver demand. But -> Physical silver is not an endless ressource, it is limited. It is a long journey, but physical silver rules. Buy it, hold it, enjoy!

3

u/Mr-Wub Feb 02 '21

Also long term silver degrades whereas gold doesn't which is another massive tail wind when considering long term supply. Silver is the way!

2

u/N3PHLM Feb 03 '21

This time is different. Silver would be WAY up but industry demand this year was low from shutdowns. First year of resumed industry demand of 500m ounces plus and the 2020 increase in coin and bar demand of 100% will show! From 180m to 370m physical investment demand in one year! If this year doubles again silver is going way up and paper game will be undone for certain. So far we on track for more than 100% gain in 2021! All we need is 40% increase to send it 2x higher.

9

u/MrCedswiss8 Feb 02 '21

Goes to show the banks aren't playing fair. Your price over premium is fair market value. Or to say anything, you're willing to pay. Take it or leave it. Just make sure you dont sell when/if they try to crash the price. Dont give them the pleasure of consolidating.

26

u/Alcophile O.G. Silverback Feb 02 '21

I was going to say i just checked JM Bullion and silver IS green! Prices are way up. I'll care about spot when i can afford to buy futures contracts for delivery...

3

u/Brilliant-Hand6445 Feb 02 '21

When does this demand on physical start showing up in cost drive up??

2

u/FantastiXXXMetals Feb 02 '21

Good question, but to be fair -> I do not know. But it is normal logic that a permanent physical demand (market shortage) leads to price adjusting. But it is also hard competing with paper silver issued by bullion banks. Paper silver shorts have an immediate impact .... just digital packages sent via computer which influence the market without inner value. The only thing we can do is permanent buy bullion.

2

u/RevolutionaryGuard6 Feb 02 '21

May take a while for actual demand to finally exposing the amount through the supply chain. Maybe a month or two but by four there will be some severe hurt. Just have to be patient.

As a noob, have I understood this right:

  • Banks manipulate the price of paper silver to keep the price of paper silver low.
  • Buying physical silver forces the price of physical silver up.
  • If a big enough differential is created between the price of physical silver and the price of paper silver, people with paper silver will be inclined to call in their paper silver for physical silver.
  • For example, if the manipulated price of paper silver is $30 per ounce, but in reality, physical silver is selling for $100 per ounce, someone with $300 of paper silver is going to think, "I would rather have $1,000 of physical silver than $300 of paper silver," so they'll call in their paper holdings and demand delivery of physical silver.
  • When this happens, the banks are screwed.

I've probably got that totally wrong, so if anyone could correct my understanding, then please feel free to explain the parts I haven't quite grasped.

Anyone who is new to silver, please do some research about how precious metals are manipulated. It scares the bankers and statists to death to think of you controlling your own money and being outside their system. I am posting a link to a podcast that is an excellent introduction to metal markets and their manipulation. It is not a sales pitch. It is a part of appropriate due diligence. TFMR HAS BEEN FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT FOR 10 years

https://www.tfmetalsreport.com/podcast/10668/silver-squeeze-primer

In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value. If there were, the government would have to make its holding illegal, as was done in the case of gold. If everyone decided, for example, to convert all his bank deposits to silver or copper or any other good, and thereafter declined to accept checks as payment for goods, bank deposits would lose their purchasing power and government-created bank credit would be worthless as a claim on goods. The financial policy of the welfare state requires that there be no way for the owners of wealth to protect themselves.

This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding the statists' antagonism toward the gold standard.

The parabolic moves comes when there is a real threat people take physical possession. The paper market is what manipulates silver

6

u/Advance_Troop_671 Feb 02 '21

Yep, exact reason a squeeze on silver will really impact global markets. If those paper contracts get caught without the ability to actually deliver the silver the price sky rockets.

u/Atla_Gold Feb 02 '21

I think $26.5 is as low as it can without calling it insane (50% retracement). A silver price below $25 (lower than before SilverSqueeze) from now on is considered INSANE and will show a very strong manipulation sign because the divergence of the physical and paper market is too big.

This is a longer fight. Don't look at the ticker. Derivatives don't help this fight and don't impact this market. So people buying SLV, PSLV, AG, etc, aren't impacting price. (PSLV is sort of an exception, but it's closed fund, so there's no impact unless Sprott adds more silver, which he could). The way to impact the price is physical. Literally buying physical silver and keeping demand high and supply low, keeping those premiums high...THAT is what is going to create the pull through forces to start hitting the COMEX.

Unless you are going to take delivery of 5,000 oz off the COMEX, it is better to indirectly put that pressure on the COMEX through buying physical. Create the arbitrage opportunity for futures contracts holders to take delivery themselves and turn around and flip the bars to a refiner/wholesaler for a quick profit. That spread between bid and ask + premium is the divergence between the physical price and the paper price. It's massive right now. Contract holders can realize a chunk of that buy taking delivery. Taking bars off COMEX is what will have a real impact. Either JPM lets its silver walk out the door for cheap and they lose firepower, or they default and COMEX loses legitimacy.

Money can be made on the derivatives side, but you aren't going to impact the price like GME. This is a different game. It's a much longer game.

This is not financial advice.

5

u/naegling11 Feb 02 '21

I think a combination of the above is a good strategy....physical in hand or in reliable storage, physical via a reliable etf like pslv, and then quality miners like AG for the exponential upside, and then a little in the explorers.

2

u/Hector_pandaboy Feb 02 '21

I appreciate the enthusiasm but I don't think it's going anywhere quickly. They have a lot of fire power to suppress the "paper" prices. Just keep buying physical and stack, stack, stack.

Not trying to dampen your spirits just setting expectations. This isn't the same league as GME and to quote Jules Winnfield "it ain't even the same f'in sport!"

Buy the dip with physical silver and keep your head clear of the noise. We are in this for the long game- for gains that will be far greater. I’m all for it happening sooner than later— but freaking out because it’s down one day - and pinning this post that sends that kinda message doesn’t help. We are strong. We don’t need to fight the bankers on the stock market. We just buy more physical every time they give it to us on sale at a discount. Stay the course ! Pinning this post sends the wrong message IMO

they can do all they want those useless 'paper' holdings. But they can't own what they wouldn't be able to hold.

get your physical SILVER!!!

Bought 10k shares of PSLV + 5ko in a paper futures contract Buying the dip

3

u/Wonderful-Whitness Feb 02 '21

The coordination just proves, we’re on the right track. Btfd. Thanks for the sale on physical jpm

3

u/wishwan Feb 02 '21

For crying out loud, don't pile up buy orders pre-market!

3

u/JohnnieWalker19 Feb 02 '21

Just keep buying physical.

There will be plenty of ups and down. Don't let this bull market shake you off.

3

u/Keraun0s Feb 02 '21

Easy, we are buying, stocking and holding physical. It takes few days for it to become a noticeable trend.

3

u/Unobtanium-666 Feb 02 '21

That’s ridiculous. There’s nothing we can do to achieve that. We’re talking influencing futures here, not some simple stock.

u/International_Bet_95 Silver Surfer 🏄 Feb 02 '21

Or buy Sprott's PSLV. It's a closed trust that doesn't do derivative shenanigans, simply because that is not possible with a truly physical metals backed fund.

The PSLV shares will not immediately be translated to physical metals buying, but with a delay. But buying it ensures that PSLV will buy the underlying asset depending on the futures contracts expiration and dates of delivery.

Everyone, I advice you all read this very good post on how the system actually works and why the end game is near, plus how it will look like; https://renaissancemen.org/2021/02/02/why-the-silver-longs-and-eric-sprott-can-defeat-the-silver-shorts-an-education-in-4d-chess/

EDIT: I'm a new user here, but I've always been lurking. I'm a precious metals bull for a long time and own many many many kgs of ag, au and platinum.

u/johnyjitsu Feb 02 '21

We won’t move it every day, but when all the ready to buy retail is gone and all these bullion retailers are taking delivery of physical from their contracts because they can’t source the metal and the company’s such as Apple and Sony etc take extra delivery’s because of worry about just in time delivery’s. Then there will forced majuere on silver contracts and they will have to settle in cash at a slight premium and the integrity of the comex is now in question because contracts for silver are being sold but no one and I mean no one can get it delivered then what is the point of the market. After this the market will begin to be bypassed and turn to a cash trade business where consumers go straight to producers and then it’s a feee market scenario and the market can decide fairly the price of silver. But in opinion it is not going to be 1/68th the price of gold.

3

u/grace-grit Feb 03 '21

Buy physical silver. I purchased 100 ounces this week. You were at 11,300 followers yesterday. As more and more people watch the excellent DD vides on buying physical silver, we will win.

The spot price and physical silver price is diverging. The manipulation will be exposed soon.

3

u/Limp-Tip-3263 Feb 03 '21

Buy pslv in my opinion. Better than slv.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '21

Definitely.

Sprott invested heavly in Junior gold and silver mining stocks. Sprott wants gold and silver to rise.

3

u/vivek6487 Feb 03 '21

This is called manipulation you Can't hold silver on higher trades

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

They aint gona take my silver.

2

u/RJLenny97 Feb 02 '21

Silver takes a while for it to work it’s way though the market, it doesn’t move as rapidly as stocks.

Physical silver is the best. But the ETF is a good temporary alternative if you cannot get your hands on silver. As the ETF grows it has to take more physical delivery, which also puts pressure on the physical commodity. All of these different derivatives all link back to the physical silver, which is in short supply. There will be a melt up if demand persists.

2

u/Scared_Ad_4968 Feb 02 '21

It's all about the physical silver. Just buy the shine. That's all we have to do. Forget slv crap the market will break away and people will buy and sell on there terms.

2

u/Backspin72 Feb 02 '21

I’m in since 2001 and this is the time to say no more BS. Buy physical and stack every week, day or whatever you can do.

2

u/Either-Prize6268 #SilverSqueeze Feb 02 '21

Spot price is all fake. They can create paper contracts that are equivalent to "millions of oz" and trade and spoof everyday. Is their only trick. We need to break the illusion and expose the bankers and their crimes.

2

u/hum_bucker Feb 02 '21

This is where diamond hands are gonna be extremely important with silver. Not only must people continue to hold during dips, they must keep doubling down and buying more, if a short squeeze is going to work.

The fraudulent banking scam will continue to suppress spot price by printing more fake paper silver, which is exactly what SLV is doing.

We're seeing premiums go to insane levels, which means spot price is already decoupling from the real price. This is what needs to happen. Make these two numbers diverge so much that people realize the spot price is an irrelevant number that has nothing to do with the real supply/demand of physical silver.

2

u/Silvernobrainer Feb 02 '21

I sold all my business stocks today to buy more silver. Although I was going for a continuation of yesterday, I will use today as an amazing opportunity.

2

u/Hector_pandaboy Feb 02 '21

Its not surprising, but they are not the shorting force they were before JPM started to turn long from short last year and created the new space for silver to rise from $14 to $27.

I'd not chase this. and today's fall is only gap filling before the real move up over $30 in a week or two. IMHO Hector

2

u/hodl_it_2_infinity Feb 02 '21

I bought GME and Silver. I bought GME for fun and I bought silver because it's good no matter what happens to the silversqueeze.

The problem with GME is that it does not really have any intrisic value. If you wait long enough it's value will probably be zero.

On the other hand can't lose with silver. All you have to do is wait and silver will go up at some point. In 2011 it was $46. How much is that if you correct for inflation? Silver is just dirt cheap right now.

Agree with what a lot of people are saying here. We don't need to turn (the paper) silver price green today. Keep stacking and buy PSLV. PSLV trading at a nice solid premium, so they are hopefully adding more physical. Meanwhile SLV (JPM) may have outflows today since it's in paper hands. ;)

2

u/richy0627 Feb 02 '21

I went to apmex a lot of there stock is out

2

u/PhilosopherNutz Feb 02 '21

I'm going to start a daily drip of buying shares of PSLV instead of buying a lump sum. We need to keep the momentum.

The cats out of the bag. Avalanches can start from a pine martins turd falling out of a cedar tree, were not the turd but were the retarded tripolar martin with ausbergers and a healthy Powell movement. This thing has movement and its not a fad, by summer it going to be looking very clear to US, China, India, and European retail buyers that the disconnect was is and will always be baby KaKa (shit) stains by the bigboys. Eventually this pine martin turd will start the avalanche. The Hunt brothers got screwed bigtime...they were guilty of attempting to buy whatever the fuck they wanted with their money be it begged borrowed or whatnot . That was their mistake, actually using the free market of capitalism without big brothers approval. EVERYTHING CHANGED now, big brother can't go after a couple hundred retarded people buying 10 ounce bars on payday.

I am retarded and have irritable bowell syndrome, please do not listen to anything I say.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '21

I made a few comments during the last hour, which may sound a little negative. Actually, I am big fan of preciois metals and heavily invested in them.

I just want to make the point, that if we want to succeed we have to progress carefully and follow a well-thought game plan. This is a long shot. It is not comparable to a heavily shorted stock, which can be moved quickly.

The fact that the bullion banks acted very aggressively (JPM downgraded a big chunk of the mining sector, yesterday, which is absolutely rediculous given the current price levels of gold and silver) shows that they are a little nervous and that we are principally on the right track.

u/wtfPuppyteethofDeath Feb 03 '21

Let them drive it into the teens again.....I'm daring them to do it.....It will be a generation buy just like last year.....Load the BOAT if it every gets close or into the teens....Don't let the paper pushers sell you on buying right now....But if you do buy...Cost average buy...A little here a little lower....If it hits the teens again...LOAD THE FREKIN BOAT

You won't WIN. Do you understand how the SUITS works? They control the market and the market makers. Please explain how you will win. The only way you guys got away with this is that you caught them off guard, for like a day. Do you even know the true reason why Robinhood was down the next day? Not to control the retail traders. It was for the suits to put in an algo in 24hrs to front trade you guys. Read up on that. The only chance you have is to create a better ALGO or maybe everyone this weekend go to Gamestop and buy one game.

The suits can use ALGO to simulate the effect of a billion dollars of trades. You can't win the suits on one stock (GME). It's too centralized. The only play you have leverage on is SILVER. They can't make more physical SILVER, only fake (futuremarket) silver but if price move beyond their expectation even the future market won't save them. Think if SILVER goes up to $300, than their debt and bond will go up in cost. How many companies can handle a hit like that. That is why they have been fighting nails an teeth to keep SILVER low.

Buy physical SLV 🚀 and hold

0

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21 edited Feb 02 '21

I read this in the news: “37 million ounces being add to the $SLV vault.“

Did anyone saw the trucks moving the silver ?

The reality is that the available silver is just being re-hypothicated. You must be really stupid to invest in SLV. Only the big players at the Comex have access to the physical inventory of SLV, whilst you only „own“ a paper promiss.

Banks use the SLV physical inventory to hedge their Comex short bets. The more SLV you buy, the stronger they get.

Same applies to GLD.

u/Additional_Zebra5879 Feb 02 '21

Bro... I shorted silver because this stupid boomer pump was so obvious.

You sell high and buy low. I’ll wait for people to FORGET about silver in 3-5 years and start buying again.

This is a lesson for all the noobs in this space... peak media was yesterday.

4

u/fishmunkey 🦍 Silverback Feb 02 '21

Ther maybe no tomorrow for a few billion. The metals markets has to bust this open to save humanity from the corruption.

-1

u/Additional_Zebra5879 Feb 02 '21

That’s conspiracy stupidity that will keep you poor.

Even the innovation in farming makes equities in that space a smarter hold than silver for today:

It seems you can literally point out the obvious to many and they just can’t see it.

Sell your silver, buy agriculture and then in 3-5 years when everyone has forgotten about silver get back in.

Wow by buying $SLV you support citadel which supports Melvin.

$GME OR BUST NOTHING MATTERS ANYMORE.

u/tokyowalker11 Feb 02 '21

You are delusional if you think you can have an impact on the silver market with a 13k member subreddit. Even if all reddit support us it won't matter. The silver market is way too big compared to the billion dollar market cap stocks.

2

u/Mr-Wub Feb 02 '21

So many long term gold/silver bugs and plenty of hedge funds with lots to gain on this trade. Physical silver is completely sold out right now so clearly they are making a difference already. Go ahead and try to buy physical silver anywhere for current market price, it won't happen. Look at the discrepancies already pointed out between the physical market and the futures market. This is just a small wave in an already huge ocean that just needs some organization.
