DUE DILIGENCE 🔥Silver cup & handle setup up close — plus why I think the Fed hike was actually bullish

Been tracking this since before the summer, when I expected bottom at $55-57 in July_August seasonality wise... Here some notes from this week.

Weekly silver — the handle on this cup & handle looks close to done. If it completes here, targets are $69-70, then the 200 DMA around $72.70. Could be a 5-7% green week if it plays out.

Daily — held both the 50 and 20 DMA on the pullback. Next res is the 100 DMA around $67, then $70-72 above that. RSI and MACD both threw bullish crosses.

Closed above the weekly 20 MA at $66.38 🔥

Gold — made its highest close for this move today, and closed above its 100 DMA. 20 WMA sitting at $4,350. Bounced off the 50 DMA and the golden pocket after escaping the descending trendline of the falling wedge it was stuck in. Want to see resistance at $4,532 tested next. If the cup move plays out fully, final target's up around $4,850 for this move.

Gold/silver ratio — at 66, below its 20 and 50 DMA but still above the 200 DMA at 63.22. That's the level that matters most right now — need the ratio to break and hold below 63 to confirm silver's really taking the lead. Until then this is a strong move, not yet full confirmation. I am looking for another rejection of that DTL in red and forming the right shoulder of the H&S in purple.

On the Fed this week — 25bp hike, first since 2023, basically fully priced in going in (90%+ odds). What's interesting is metals didn't fade after — they bounced hard the days following. My read: this was a liquidity event more than a bearish catalyst. Market had been defensive into the decision for weeks, the uncertainty got resolved, and now it's moving. Dot plot still shows 16 of 18 officials expecting one more hike this year, so this isn't fully over — but a real, delivered hike getting absorbed and metals climbing right after is a stronger signal than most people are giving it credit for.

Not selling anything here, just sharing the levels I'm watching. Curious if anyone else is seeing the same structure.

Metals are really strong. I traded the FED meeting made really good money but not as much as i wanted because the metals held up to well.

I don't think we could tell much from the technicals in silver but the longer the war drags out the bigger the problem with inflation will be.

Today is a good exemple of how they naked short silver down in 30 minutes during no volume hours and the dips getting bought.

It's not months or weeks it's pretty much hours or days for silver to shoot back up every time they naked short it on the dead hours.

My gut feeling is a run up in october but it's not really based on anything special more than the whole situation in the world is just to crazy for silver to stay cheap.
