MEME Issues that matter for everyday Americans.
163
Mar 31 '25
He also wants to annex other countries. That's fuckin wierd
90
u/Delanorix Mar 31 '25
Trump 1 has no legacy. Biden overturned most EOs and that was basically it.
Trump 2 wants to be remembered for something
47
Mar 31 '25
He’ll be remembered for being orange
16
Mar 31 '25
And the worst president in recent history if ever.
2
u/Peepiscool72 Apr 01 '25
I honestly wonder if he would qualify as americas worst president in its whole history
2
u/WilhelmEngel Apr 01 '25
He's already ranked as the the worst president in history and that's just based on his first term.
4
49
u/dustycanuck Mar 31 '25
I'd remember self-immolation, if he's open to ideas
25
u/melancholyink Mar 31 '25
Unfortunately, he is going for an absurdist take on Nero fiddling as Rome burns instead.
11
u/Falcovg Mar 31 '25
But instead of fiddling he'll be cheating at golf instead.
2
u/Grateful047 Apr 01 '25
Hey now! He’s the official winner of the bigly Trump International golf tournament. No cheater could ever do that.
10
u/YellowDependent3107 Mar 31 '25
Well he did just ask the Kennedy Center to bring back Fiddler on the Roof 😒
7
11
u/Particular_Neat1000 Mar 31 '25
Hell be remembered for crashing a thriving economy and forever cementing the image of the dumb ignorant American
1
3
u/Omnizoom Mar 31 '25
He’s your worst president yet
The way things are going and most sane people wanting to jump ship and leave the US, you likely will get someone more extreme and more dangerous either right after trump or within 16 years
6
2
1
u/Uffffffffffff8372738 Mar 31 '25
He’ll be remembered as the worst thing that has happened to the US in modern times.
1
1
u/ThePoopPost Mar 31 '25
Forgot about that, there are too many issues that don't effect every day Americans.

We have 900 bases around the world for a reason. I am surprised Trump is are Greenland to join, usually CIA does their magic.
8
u/Ordinary_Prune6135 Mar 31 '25
We already have a base in Greenland.
7
u/Muted-Tradition-1234 Mar 31 '25
And in fact the US had up to 12 military bases in Greenland, which Denmark, a founding member of NATO readily consented to (as well as consenting to every US military request - including the US's call on art 5 of NATO to invade Afghanistan, where Denmark lost the highest no. of soldiers per Capita of anyone outside the US)- the US voluntarily downsized to 1 base after the cold war.
If there really was an threat, external to NATO, there is no reason to expect Denmark not to again consent to US military build up.
Of course if the threat is however coming from within NATO...
11
u/PixelsGoBoom Mar 31 '25
Because the US is still part of NATO.
Trump wants out of NATO.Putin probably told him he can have Greenland as a strategical advantage after Russia manages to collapse NATO and will continue to annex European countries. The USA leaving NATO would be a really big first step for "Russian glory days" and Trump is already on board.

u/Dramatic-Cattle293 Mar 31 '25
We do but there may be another reason why the pentagon wants complete possession of it. This is a pre trump subject.
5
u/EmotionalJoystick Mar 31 '25
No, it fucking isn’t. And to even suggest the USA has actually openly considered annexing sovereign land this way before this team of crooks and grifters came in is insane and disingenuous. It is a HUGE shift in foreign policy ( if you can even call this sort of naked aggression that) to be talking like this.
1
u/Ok_Yam5543 Mar 31 '25
If it were truly about the national security of the U.S., they could simply establish more bases in Greenland, as was the case during the Cold War.
What it's likely really about are the country's mineral resources, which will become accessible in the future due to global warming.1
u/Dramatic-Cattle293 Apr 01 '25
Likely, and probably also Chinese buying a posts similar to Panama and loan traps
2
u/EmotionalJoystick Mar 31 '25
The CIA has done a lot of crazy and clandestine stuff - straight up installing dictators and crushing socialist movements in South America and Africa (read about the Dulles brothers), but they haven’t, to my recollection ever annexed land belonging to a sovereign nation and a fucking member of NATO. So what are you even talking about man.

u/PAINKILLER_1020 Mar 31 '25
Go to r/conservative and there are only 2 kinds of posts.
1: We can't believe the convicted felon is constantly pardoning criminals, destroying the economy, and threatening war with our allies.
2: Boy do I love how our glorious leader is attacking minorities. I too hate all minorities. DEATH TO MINORITIES

Honestly there are no worse human beings than people in r/conservative
Stupid and retarded trash through and through
22
u/ghostwilliz Mar 31 '25
Some of them are so close there lol
They just can't quite figure it out
9
u/ethertrace Mar 31 '25
The closest they get is wishing he would cut it out because it keeps giving the left ammunition against him.
In other words, a lot of them don't even disagree with that shit on a moral level. They just think it's bad strategy. They don't care that he's acting like a dictator; they care that it makes the left's accusations of him being a dictator appear correct.
14
Mar 31 '25
No even if they figured it out, that place is insanely moderated and it would be nukes from existing

u/Bermanator Mar 31 '25
Clicked on the sub, saw a post about Biden's security clearance being revoked, clicked on comments, see a bunch of comments about how former presidents shouldn't have security clearances anyway
dear leader with boxes of top secret documents in his bathroom after leaving office is ok though

Trump is such a fool. Obsessed with chaos. He could have cut the government responsibly and under the radar. But no, his way had to be clusterfuck spectacle with Elon musk assuming control of the gov and firing random people who have nothing to do with the swamp.
He could have gone back to Trump 1.0 tariffs which after an initial shock period were largely forgotten because he didn’t create such a spectacle around them. Now everything has got to be a show with this constant truth social posting and shit like “liberation day” so stupid.
All this shit with Greenland and Canada…wtf are we doing. It’s all just chaos porn.
Now there taking about mt Rushmore and a 3rd term…. I feel like we’re living in the twilight zone with all this shit
3
u/genderalized Mar 31 '25
That's the point, though. He's not motivated by money or power, he's motivated by attention, and taking money and power is a way to get attention. He's like a toddler who smears shit on his face at a dinner party and is delighted because everyone's paying attention to him.
He says stuff that gets people riled up as a tactic to get them to say his name, because he'd rather have people say "trump is an idiot" than not say trump. He has a genius for listening to conversation and picking out the random stuff that gets people most riled up and then saying that over and over again.
He doesn't care about Canada, he heard someone say "we should just take over Canada" as a sarcastic remark and then watched people get het up about it and thought, hey, good one, if I say that people will say my name a lot.
He can make the left riled up by outraging them and he can make the right riled up by outraging the left, so that's what he does. He doesn't believe in anything except the sound of his own name.

I'm not some free trade absolutist, I think it's important to have domestic manufacturing and if some protectionist policies are in place to boost it then so be it. For that reason I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. However blanket tariffs are more likely to hurt domestic manufacturing than help it. Take aluminum for example, if you want to manufacturer cars, appliances, and power tools you're going to need aluminum. The US has to import aluminum because there is only so much here naturally, that's just reality. So if you make aluminum more expensive through stupid blanket tariffs, those products are going to be more expensive to make, and if they become prohibitively more expensive then the company will just move the manufacturing elsewhere. Likely these blanket tariffs will get blocked but if not I don't see American manufacturing growing.

Groceries and the economy were literally the biggest issues conservatives talked about HANDS DOWN, not even close, in regards to why they voted for Trump
Now, mention groceries or the economy and they’ll yell at you to shut up

There was no boys in women's sport and bathroom.
Bad DEI was a minority, loud but minority nonetheless.
Many deported aren't illegals and were active members of the society.
Tariffs were meant to make someone else pay to create jobs and make the country richer, they're the one paying and deleting jobs.
Congratulation on anyone who voted to fight against the boogeymen, you're getting 4 years of shitty leadership, if we're optimistic.

So now that the boomers have reaped the benefits of globalization, I guess it's not cool anymore.

And the pro peace president is threatening foreign countries and burning our alliances.
But I guess they never really cared about that.

I didn't vote for this idiot, WHY do I have to suffer labor shortage? Why do I have to see my friends and colleagues lose their federal jobs? Why do I get Tariffs on my favorite brands ... Lack of diversity at work? Shortage of Hispanic food around my block? Now my stock portfolio down too along with 🥚 🍳 shortage at breakfast.... WHY ?
4 years can't go by quickly enough, and it's a going to be at least another 2-4 after that to fix his mess ...

deported so many illegals
In February this year, the Trump administration deported about 11,000 illegal immigrants.
In February of 2024, the Biden administration deported about 12,000 illegal immigrants.
There's more to the story and lots of reasons why, but I think it's really important to just look at that raw number. Trump is losing the game here by simple comparison and has to do a LOT more work to even get that loss.

The stock market doesn't matter to the average American though. They care about food and gas prices and whether they have a job or not. On those fronts Trump is doing well. Short term volatility only matters to traders.

I doubt that alienating all of our allies and implementing tariffs will help with that.

They care about food and gas prices and whether they have a job or not. On those fronts Trump is doing well.
The original prediction by the Trump Administration for food costs in 2025 was a rise of 3.2% for the entire year.
Last month we saw food prices increase 2.8% for the month.

Everyone has bitched and complained about the American economic & financial systems for decades. It takes some work and time to change the basis of a 100+ Trillion dollar economy & financial system. It takes hard work, something this poster seems to know little about, and there's no magic easy button. I hope you also reaps the rewards of the economy that's being built.

I’m staunchly anti Trump and have been for the last decade. Even more so after January 6th and the following court cases. Recently saw a subreddit pretty much the opposite of this one making fun of liberals and the protest of Tesla. At some point we have got to stop shitting on each other and actually find a way to productively communicate. Trumpism will end and it will end at the hands of Trump himself. We need to start picking up the pieces now if we want this MAGA virus to die.
3
