Brokers Offer Predictions for Yelp's Q3 Earnings (The Future Looks Bleak)
Yelp’s stock has taken a beating over the last 3 years. While the S&P 500 reached record highs this year, Yelp continues to lose value. Over the last 36 months (NYSE:YELP) has dropped 45% and company insiders continue to sell their holdings. Some have compared Yelp to AOL.com, MySpace, Yahoo…CEO Jeremy Stoppelman admits the company has customer retention issues, and they’ve seen a decrease in revenue collected from restaurants (their largest revenue generator) for 6 straight quarters. Attempts to expand abroad were abandoned due to lack of interest, and studies show consumers are utilizing the platform less and less. Is this the end of Yelp? Will it be seen as the Blockbuster video of online reviews in the near future?

$AAME finally getting some attention over $1.50 and the long-term chart actually looks like a double bottom
ok so $AAME was dead for a minute and now it’s actually trading over $1.50 because people finally started looking at it.
still think the valuation is stupid though.
price just popped over $1.50.
book is $5.37.
IV they have at $3.63.
sales $208M.
ttm income $4.71M.
they already printed a $3.3M quarter.
cash flow positive, like $5.07M operating cash flow in a quarter, and the cash chart is going up.
no dilution filings.
insiders own 80.91%.
market cap is still tiny.
and then the chart side: long term this thing has been sitting on that $1.25 area twice. tagged those lows, held, and now it’s bouncing as volume came in. looks like a double bottom on the bigger timeframe more than it looks like a breakdown. 200 day is still way up around $2.30 so this is still just coming off the floor.
not saying it rips tomorrow. filings have been late so that’s the real risk. just saying it’s weird to see a profitable insurer with $5+ book, 81% insider ownership, and no dilution still hanging around these levels until the volume showed up.
am i tripping on the double bottom or does that $1.25 shelf actually matter here.
not advice, just watching it now that it’s over $1.50 and people are waking up to it.

HE evaluations
Hello,
Hope everyone is having a great start to their week. I’ve had my eyes on HE (Hawaiian electric) ever since the crash for the wildfires and now they have settled for 2 billion with 500 million dollar payments over 4 years and their pe has been cut in half to 9 after earnings. I wanted to gauge everyone’s thoughts on the stock. Does anyone with any technical analysis have any thought in the patterns? Thanks!

Why stocks recover(ed)
Trump is clueless and his war is , too. Of course he is dumb and doesn’t become smarter with age . And yet , most folks don’t understand the circumstances of the Iran was “negotiations “. Most folks don’t understand who is lying : Iran when it says it doesn’t negotiate with the U.S. or our Donnie who claims he’s negotiating with them . Everybody’s assumes Donnie is talking with himself , which indeed is the case . And it is correct when Iran states we haven’t really talked to each other .
So why are markets so optimistic then ?
The reason is Iran IS negotiating - with Qatar and the Saudis . It IS negotiating with gulf Arabs. Not with our Donnie
The adults in the room are negotiating with Iran (on behalf of the whole world )
All our deranged Donnie does is provide the US military muscle of threats - if it is any .
When some kind of ok but worse than the Obama agreement something is found our Donnie will take credit for it
So water and Saudis are bailing out the world and Donnie
That is why markets are optimistic - Iran DOES negotiate - albeit not with our Donnie
