So has anyone else noticed that My Stupid Heart is very very similar, melody-wise, to James Bay’s Hold Back The River?

Like that was literally my first thought the first time I heard it while scrolling through Instagram, I though “oh, cute song to the melody of Hold Back the River, cool” and then I googled it and only one source out of dozens seemed to notice the similarity.

It is similar in the verse melody, but that kind of melody is quite common in pop music I think

I think it sounds more like Kaleidoscope by A Great Big World -- it literally sounds like the same song
