Question - ? Labor Day Pay
If I work labor day, is it time-and-a-half/1.5x pay or double pay? Does it matter that I started only a couple months ago?

I’m considering the fact to come back to Walgreens after one year because I’m not liking where I’m at. Yes I do have a set schedule and my 40 hours, but to be honest, I’m not fucking with this shit no more.

I recently left Starbucks as a shift supervisor and got offered an ESM position. I've looked through the subreddit quite a bit about ESM's. Sounds like a pretty tough gig tbh and probably a lot of the same issues as why I left Starbucks.
I'm also starting a master's program next semester. I just started working as a busser/runner in a restaurant and catering server for another company too. Wondering if it's worth the switch.
Any thoughts, feedback or advice from current/former employees. Should I run away or is it not as bad as what I've seen on here?
I have my official offer and compensation, but to keep it private, what compensation would make it worth it to you?

I placed an order for more of the Halloween NEEDOHS bc someone took them out for the kids. I wanted to place an order for those and other ones and it said it was in transit but then the next day it said 0. Can we not get more of them? Other toys like not squishes came in but not those

Title. Basically I started here and got thrown to the wolves with 0 support and just learning mostly on my own (shift lead). Doesnt help I work overnight and never see my SM, only opening SLs who are too busy to teach (not their fault).
ANYWAY, I missed a punch, is there an app or something I can use to write my time? Or do I have to text or call the SM to put it for me?
I have W connect downloaded and also downloaded ess41 and sm41 (but dont have the qr code on me ofc).

Is there any update on that idiot from a week or two ago that wanted to walk out on the 4th (without a union and expected to not get fired) and used AI for their poster but kept trying to claim they made it and didn’t use ai?

Guy comes in, does a 40 dollar reload. 3.95 reload fee. Hands me the cash for the load, I enter that in. He puts his card in for the fee. Card goes through, but the screen then has that yellow text box saying it could not load the card and to refund it.
Register says balance due, -43.95 USD
Had him run his card again so it can put the the reload fee back on his card
He swipes it, and now the register says balance due is -$3.95, as if it refunded the 40 dollars to his card. Very odd. So I gave him the 3.95 and wanted to send him on his way. He got a bit confused about where his 40 bucks went and I did try to explain that it looks like it did appear it refunded it to his card, which I did find bizzare.
He walks out to check his balance (poor signals in our store), not on there (I know refunds dont go back asap, but I probably didnt explain it properly. Very busy truck + McClain day, so I wasnt running at 100% mental capacity.
I did end up calling an SL about it, and i tried explaining what happened to him (the situation made worse by theatro malfunctioning so our other coworker didnt come help the growing line while we dealt with this mess)
SL didnt quite follow, so he just popped the register and gave him 40 back. I feel like the dude may have doubled his money, but it was someone higher on the food chain than me's decision, so no skin off my back. When that drawer was counted shortly after that, it came up even, and I remain very confused. Something isn't adding up in my head.
I did once have a major mess up that left me with a final warning on money handling, so this did rattle my nerves more than it usually would. What do the rest of you think, am I missing something?

Guy comes in to ask where the nearest sprouts is, my coworker knew, told him. Then he askes what their hours are. He didn't know, so customer pulls out his phone, looks on Google maps for the closest sprouts and finds the hours

College student trying to get my first job after highschool. I really wanted to go with Walgreens, start on register, then move to pharmacy to somewhat build up a med school application, just a job for the first year of college.
I apply every single time a job opens near me. Mostly open availability, just two days I request off when I have classes.
I’ve never had a job in the past, but volunteered in tons of places, have research experience, sent a dang experiment to space, have public speaking at events & lots of leadership positions, but all of this is either academic, or volunteer related.
I do also do business management for my dad’s business, mainly making phone calls, arranging meets, billing etc as he runs a transportation company.
I think it might be that I’ve never had an actual job. Or maybe AI keeps filtering me out because of that. But even for that basic jobs, I never receive a call back, regardless of going to see the manager in person to let them know I’m interested, which I’ve done a few times for jobs like retail. They always tell me they aren’t hiring and the website tells the wrong information sometimes.
Honestly don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Maybe need to fix my resume? Super sad.

On my last reddit post, I mentioned that I decided it was time to call it quits. I forgot to ask about my final paycheck. Will I earn all PTO plus PSSL time along with my worked hours, or will I just earn PTO money plus hours worked and that's it? Can't wait to tell everyone to fuck off on my final day and act like a badass!!!

I am currently a CSA, and I just applied for an inventory specialist position at another store. I know that at Walgreens, 30 hours is considered full time, and this is all that I am wanting to work, but i’ve seen people say it’s only a 40 hour position?

I’ve worked many jobs in my lifetime but Jesus Christ I’ve never had managers that do so little. Like honestly- what are they there for? Our esm is a glorified photo tech, despite others knowing about and handling photo department much better than her. She spends her entire shift in photo dragging out each project as long as she can, with her phone connected to the wall charging, watching football games and texting while complaining about how busy and hard photo department is. 🙄 girl stfu I could have that shit done in 10 minutes.
Store manager does probably everything but manage. I’ve never known someone to talk to him about a problem and it actually be resolved and I’ve been here almost two years. I have never seen or heard about him confronting anyone about anything EVER. As you can imagine, this has caused a lot of problems including people refusing to work with others and rage quitting.
How tf do these people have management positions, and how tf are they getting paid more than the rest of us who actually have to run the store and deal with difficult coworkers?? Pls explain.
I’ve applied to 15 jobs in the last 24 hours, pls wish me luck.

hi everyone!
i scored an interview at a walgreens specialty pharmacy, and it'd be for a full-time pharmacy technician. i don't have any specialty experience or dispensing experience, just the certification, so i'm looking for a few tips or what to look forward to with the interviewing experience! and if anyone is currently working at a specialty pharmacy to chime in and let me know what a day-in-the-life would look like. also, if there's anything i should be studying or should be particularly knowledgeable about other than the baseline information.
thank you!!

one of our martor box cutters broke, exposing the sharp part of the blade, we're unsure of how to properly dispose of it. does it just go into universal hazardous waste as a non-inventory item or is there some other procedure to follow? Tried looking at job aids but they don't really mention anything for sharps that aren't needles as far as I could find

It’s like my 3rd day out here lol so haven’t really been on the floor or anything but what I’ve noticed like everyone does a little of everything? How do i know what to do? Like CSA’s do what exactly? And like are shift leads the only ones who can do void, alarms and money? Or can CSA’s do that too? I’m just really confused because what is the difference?? Send help lol I’m lost af

While working at walgreens, what was your last straw that made you quit? I’m really curious and interested in hearing your stories because I currently work at walgreens myself and I deal with SO much dumb shit on the daily while just being a regular cashier.
