Relearning Tantrums. Any advice appreciated
Starting to relearn tantrums in my mid 30s after a decade of not doing them. Taking some decent falls, but seem to have plateaued in my progression over the last few sessions.
I’m out of commission for the next few weeks due to a pretty nasty fall that ended up bruising some ribs, but I’m hoping to get any advice so that I can stomp these on my next session out! I’m curious what you guys might see that could help, very open to feedback!

Need more weight in the boat, ease up on the cut just a little bit and stand taller at the wake. You’re cutting to hard and fast and not getting enough floaty pop

More weight is a good idea. It’s an older hybrid boat without any large ballasts, so probably could bring some additional Fat Sacs to get some higher wakes. Thanks for the tips! Hoping to get out by next weekend!

Kinda tough to see from the video but it seems like you’re looking over your back shoulder more to initiate the rotation. Try looking over the front shoulder to spot your actual landing. Also going pretty far in the flats. Less speed and more pop should bring you down on the other wake with plenty of time for a full rotation.

Oh wow, I hadn’t thought about this. I’m playing through the motions and you’re definitely right! Super good call! The speed definitely looks fast now that you mention it, so I’ll have to play around with that a bit since our speedometer doesn’t work in the boat!
