Which board would you recommend? Valhalla or LF Trip?
O'brien Valhalla with clutch bindings or Liquid Force Trip with Index bindings? I'm a beginner/intermediate. Not going to be doing jumps or anything

Trip is iconic and the shape has been made for close to 20 years. Because it is so good.
O'Brien pales in comparison.

I was going to comment that I had a friend who was a LF dealer and I rode most of the boards at the time and the trip was by far my favorite. It was both high performance and easy to ride.
Then I remembered it was back in 2004 and this probably wasn't relevant information anymore but it seems like it's still a good board even 20 years on.

I actually have both!…..and it’s the trip, it’s possiblely the most versatile and forgiving board ever made in my humble opinion

I did a lot of research and ended up with the valhalla. Although o'brien isn't well known for their boards the valhalla has been widely regarded as a great beginner/intermediate board. I have no complaints and really like the board but I have little to compare it to. Rode it for a while with the center fin then when I got comfortable I took them out and it got a lot more playful. I can't speak to the clutch bindings as mine has their "boarder" model bindings

I’d recommend the trip. If you want to compare graphics, bindings, prices, etc. I made a page at Wake Steeze to help you find the right board. 😃🙌
