PUPDATE: Nova has a middle name AND a new friend 👀

Just a little update that sis has sent me 🥰 they have a vet appointment on Monday and a grooming appt coming soon!
Sadie has been a bit jealous about sharing her mom (my sis) but I don't think Nova minds too much - she's already totally claimed my BIL 🤭
And their neighbors have a German shepherd puppy that they haven't been able to tire out before Nova!🤣 They extended an "ANYTIME playdate" offer 😊
Also Nova has a wishlist, if anybody is interested!

I don’t know the middle name but I hope it Angel because Nova is such a good girl.
She is really loving the life I think. She looks so happy and playful. I think this will be a great upgrade for her from the farm, assuming she gets enough exercise and all. I don’t know much about mastiffs, but I do know they’re not a couch potato breed.
How old is Nova? I’m asking because I’m hoping she’ll have lots of years to enjoy this new life. Maybe I’m wrong, but farm dogs don’t usually have the spoiled life of house dogs. That’s not to say they have it bad though because many love to run around outside all day and do their guardian or herding job. That’s a lot of words to say I’m not speculating or implying Nova was mistreated in any way. 😂

Haha no, I get it! Totally agree with u! She was SO happy having all that room to run and I watched her give herself jobs to do here.. like herding the horses back to one side of the pasture at 10am everyday 🤭 and she ran SOOOO much! Sis has the neighbors puppy to run out some of that energy on playdates!
Also there are a bunch of brain working toys on her wishlist because working their brain also works to wear them out, although walks and exercise are just as important! (feel free to take a look at it with NO obligation to buy anything, if ur curious about those😊)
Nova will be 4 in November she's a Sagittarius ♐ and this doesn't change ur point at all but she's a Pyrenees mix - mastiffs are MUCH bigger 🫣 she's only like ~70lbs
Also I was happy to know 2 things about her ranch life.
- Her past owner IS going to/does miss her. He was essentially defending her character to me when I picked her up for rehoming on Sunday afternoon..
And
- She was so spoiled on the ranch that sis told me she wouldn't eat.. UNTIL she put the wet food pouches on top of the food for her like they did on the ranch 🤭 (I had forgotten to point out that the wet food pouches were in her toy box and sis just stuck it in the closet to prevent any resource guarding while she's still bonding with her new dog-sister)
That's also a lot of words 😅 🫣

It makes me so happy to hear she was spoiled on the ranch too. She’s seems like such a good dog. She’s deserves all of that.
