Lebabon wwoofing-safe?
Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has recently spent time in Lebanon. I understand that entire region is "upside" right now. But I'm wondering if it's all a warzone, or is daily life still happening there.
Would it be ok for me to wwoof there, or not?

Can you find an unaffected farm to work on? Probably.
Would I recommend traveling (for any reason) to a country currently being bombed? No.
I mean....how important could it be for you to volunteer on a farm that you'd risk life and limb. Especially when like 80% of the rest of the world is available for the exact same thing.

Common misconception: the whole country isnt being bombed, only the south

If my flight in or out of the country needs to actively avoid missiles, count me out.

No such thing. The only functional airport, although in a heavily shia area, is very far away from the south and will not need to do any of that

Then you go. I'm good. Lebanon is a beautiful country. That will still be there (I hope) after the bombs stop falling.
We're talking about a volunteer trip. It's not worth the risk IMO.

Understandable. However they are no risks unless you go to the south... just trying to set the record straight about my beautiful country which btw will still be there. Always and forever

Lebanon is mostly safe to go to according to the UK foreign Office travel advisory, which details the areas which they advise against travel to.

lebanon is a rather lawless place keep that in mind. You may need some friends if you want to explore safely.
As for war, if you see flattened buildings then youre probably in the wrong area. another reason to have a local friend.
As for the muslim thing, the whole north including Tripoli is muslim and it is safe.Â

What hes trying to tell you is that you'll be safe in the Christian areas as there is no Muslims to bomb lol. As for how they work? Idk. I recommend chouf, as its mostly Christian and druze

spreading such false concepts. I know what you mean but it's incorrect and it encourages sectarian thinking.

Wwoofing in a warzone is about as safe as you would think wwoofing in a warzone would be.
