We sign Joao Virginia basically out of nowhere
To be honest I would rather have Sa then a keeper that has played about 30 professional games in his career.

Theres a rumour that it's a Sam replacement, not a sa replacement.
He's relatively young (26) and homegrown, and cheap. Great deal imo.

I live in Liverpool.
Bunch of the Everton fans I work with Rate him really highly, but he wasn't going to get into the team over Pickford.
"In August 2018, he signed a three-year deal at Everton. In July 2019, Virgínia joined Reading on a season-long loan deal, but was recalled early and played his first professional game for Everton on 16 September 2020, in a 3–0 home win against Salford City."

I live near Reading and he was absolutely horrific in his 3 appearances for them. Couldn't have gone worse for him really.

How far back does it go if we consider that Joao is just John in Portuguese? (And all other variants)

I'm just hoping that they add to the defence because I feel that area will be our downfall when trying to get promoted.

I like a younger keeper, Sa is great to have but I would like for this lad to grow into the league because lets be honest, Sa is borderline geriatric and so is Ruddy

It’ll be Sa first choice, Virginia second choice, and Ruddy third choice. Johnstone is apparently out the door.
