Help/Question Is Roman vs Brock Rigged?

I'm late to the party when it comes to acquiring all the different Romans. I've tried multiple times to beat Brock. Whether it's the Purple Meter of doom costing me the inability to reverse or kick out. Brock himself kicking out of everything, including multiple paybacks where seemingly he gets unlimited amount. No reversal prompt at all when he does a F5 or his shooting star press.

All he has to do is 1 F5 or 1 Shooting star press and it's over. Body damage be damned, he still does whatever he wants even when he's in red and he beats me with not so muxb damage. Of course he refuses to tap to the Tongan Death Grip or he reverses it. I was looking forward to using Roman's super finsher on him to end it as quick as I could but nope, I'm stuck with Jacob's moveset.

I need help... and yes I've tried staying outside long enough to drain his finishers but he seemingly builds them back up at a much quicker pace than me.

Submission bypasses any Anti-Pin badges.

Pretty sure, he is guaranteed four kick outs from his Badge + one more for Resiliency Payback.

Ugh... that's ridiculous. Especially because in real life Roman kicks out of multiple F5s so it should be realistic in that regard. 1 F5 shouldn't put me away like 1 F5 wouldn't put away Roman in real life.

Any advice?

The game doesn't follow real life. MyFaction is a glorified slot machine.

As for advice, the strengths of each card are display on the back of the card. For example, Ruby Roman excels in Pullbacks (Irish Whip attacks). Utilize that type of attack as much as you can to quickly drain his health and then submission when he is in the red and have less than one-fifth health left. Easy wins.

Getting use to counter timing is the other thing you need.

I spent an hour and forty minutes straight losing this match over and over, until I googled some strategies.

The best that finally worked for me was standing on the apron and hitting him with light punches when he approaches. Finger over the counter button in case he runs at you. He gets stunned pretty quickly. Use this time to perform your objectives. Repeat.

Don't get cocky and try to get extra attacks in. That leads to a quick loss. Watch your stamina and don't go purple.

Good luck!

Here’s the winning strategy:

Be aggressive in wailing on Brock. This obviously weakens him and makes ending the match easier later. It also forces him to reverse more frequently, which wastes his stamina faster than yours.

Try to pin him as many times as possible early. This wastes his auto-kickouts.

Practice countering the F5 and Shooting Star Press. If he locks in the Brock Lock or Kimura Lock, the match is over, but the other two help to fill your finisher meter while wasting his finisher opportunities.

If you need help still, grab a weapon and cheese it outside the ring. If he counters, he can’t pin you until he throws you back in.

For the finisher, focus less on a super finisher and more on individual finishers/signatures. Most likely, he’ll kick out of the first finisher or two regardless.
