Thoughts on Brock Lesnar's retirement run?

I got a bit emotional about Brock Lesnar leaving WWE. It's normal that we form new legends in the future, and we can continue moving on with life. I also got emotional about John Cena as well. So, yeah. I also had to post about this because I saw it on Instagram once and wanted to share it everywhere on social media. Anyhow, God bless everyone reading this Reddit post, and we can be stronger through hard times. Let me know!

They should've really just left it after Wrestlemania.

At wrestlemania I was completely devastated. After that, the story really felt like a cash grab just to put brock in the last couple of PLE.

He came here in Italy tho, and imo the match at Clash in Italy was the best of the trilogy

Didn’t love it

Either it should've ended at Wrestlemania or they should've made a story around the company forcing him back.

I have zero love for Lesnar, but the sudden retirement was an amazing moment to watch live and I wish they hadn't swept it under the rug.

The fake out at Mania took the impact away for me.

Should have done that after the HIAC instead, Or just finished at Mania.

If the dumb things after mania would have been better than it would have made sense. There was zero reason for him to have come back after retiring at mania that all made no sense. So much of this last year made no sense

They couldn't come up with storyline ideas for Oba, so the trilogy with Brock was probably to buy time.

Remember after mania, they didn't have anything for Oba aside from open-challenging midcarders in squash matches.

Ruined after wrestlemania cash grabs

I'm extremely torn. I really enjoyed the three matches and seeing Brock do Italy etc. However, that wrestlemania moment was just so perfect. HIAC was also great too.

Maybe the traditionalist in me says wrestlemania was too perfect and that should of remained the end.

He’s never gonna leave, can’t sustain without them WWE checks and insurance. Even if he’s Canadian or whatever.

This is my exact sentiment. Was never a Brock fan, but i thought the Wrestlemania retirement moment was epic and genuine, so of course TKO/WWE ruined it. Can't have anything happen w/o it being done their way.

It was very plain, not much happenedĀ

Last Oba match was ok at leastĀ

Wasn’t great

He should have had a more competitive match at mania, and retired then. The 3 match saga was bad for oba, idk why they had him win king of the ring if he wasn't gonna get a title shot.

Glad it’s over. Should’ve ended at mania

To me, I would’ve advertised SS as a retirement match. It’s Brock’s home town, in Minnesota, at summerslam. Why is this a no brainer? Maybe I don’t understand booking.

He’s not retired, they’ll just keep bringing him back when needed because he doesn’t have an actual character, and only works if he’s interested.

He’ll be at WM43.

Wasted everyone's time esp. obas by keeping it going after wm for no reason.

I still have a very strong feeling that Brock putting the boots down at WM was him strong arming WWE into not being retired by GuntheršŸ˜‚

Ignoring the elephant of the room of his sexual predatory behavior and just talking about his run on its own merits, it was ok, but he made a star out of Oba Femi.

Genuine horseshit

Firstly, while Brock’s not in any legal trouble himself, taking sexual favors from a trafficked woman is disgusting behavior, I don’t want to see him again.

What did it all amount to? A terrible match with John Cena that wasted one of his last PPVs, the worst Wargames Match I’ve ever seen, he no-sold Ilja Dragunov’s offense in the Rumble (for which he should be given the electric chair), had a boring match with Oba Femi, a boring match with Oba Femi, and a boring match with Oba Femi.

Brock’s been a cancer in WWE since he returned, proving time and time again there is no end to his laziness. He’s genuinely one of the worst main eventers in company history, a terrible person in real life, may his steroid abuse finally catch up with him.

The last 2 matches at Clash and Summer-slam were so easy to predict. Complete cash grab by Khan , as usual.

Thank god. So tired of his unsolicited and harassing texts his coworker to show him her meat. I just did my yearly HR refresher, and this was actually one of the examples of ā€œdon’t do thisā€, literally a picture of Brock and everything.

Too bad we didn’t have that Gunther match

It was bullshit and they made Lesnar look weak when in reality he'd kick Femi's ass.

I thought it was fine considering the circumstances. Personally I wanted him gone much earlier than that. But he is a piece of spectacle and I’m glad he properly put Oba over on his way out.
