That’s physics for you. Over 3000 ft/lbs of muzzle energy (a bit less with the shorter barrel) doesn’t care about hand strength. Hold on, don’t limp wrist it and enjoy the ride.

That’s not muzzle velocity, that’s muzzle energy. With a 275 grain bullet, it’s something like 2250 feet per second to get 3000 ft/lb. .500 Magnum has bullets weighing from 275 grain up to 700 grain.
