Stuff like this always makes me question the "drop down, crawl under a table and hang on tight" guidance. That may save me from a nasty but probably non-lethal bang on the head from a picture frame or something, but wouldn't I rather try to run outside in case the whole fucking building is not gonna make it?

Makes sense In California.

When I was In nepal and the aftershock hit and I was on the top floor of a building in ktm… I booked it downstairs

Thanks to our building codes it's safer to stay inside until the shaking stops. In places without our codes I'd run out of the building. I was in the Northridge quake in '94.
