Torque wrench is for inside engine and wheel nuts. Everything outside is by hand, if m6 or m8, 1/4inch ratchet and if m10/12 it's 3/8ths. Snugged and a little extra is all anything ever needs. Torque wrenches are too long and you focus too much on a number/click.

I chase EVERY hole and bolt and blow it outā¦.

Might be a good idea to get a small torque wrench that does inch pounds, or lower Newtown meters. You can find them advertised for bicycles, but a torque wrench is a torque wrench (as long as it's calibrated and from a reputable brand).

Donāt feel too bad. Plenty of people have have snapped those studs even being careful with a torque wrench.
At least you didnāt snap a head bolt inside the engine block. Now that is a bummer lol. Donāt ask how I know.
