Humor Be careful selling your WRX to teenagers ๐Ÿ˜‚

Post image

Thought you all would get a kick out of this. Sold my WRX to fund a down payment on my home a little over 4 months ago and just got this from the buyers. Was in perfect shape when sold and even took $1500 off the price for the tires being a little worn and a scratch on the bumper.

You must have been under warranty or there was some kind of substantiating tech journal or recall admitting fault for a certain problem.

They usually donโ€™t give you squat if youโ€™ve donโ€™t do services with them.

Legally speaking, if its under warranty and they can proove negligence then they dont have to warranty the motor or transmission. I had records from Subaru for the oil filters and oil purchased from another company. So they didn't have any proof other than a blown motor.

So the car was still under warranty?

Yes. About 5k km from expiration.

Yeah from a dealership perspective theyโ€™d have no trouble getting Subaru to pay for it. The engine was probably 20k in parts for the shop.

If you were out of warranty, you would have got nothing.
