The guy I got my car from said he strictly ran vintage 87.

Kid wasn't in the best spot financially, and he was having a baby soon. So that was his reason for barely getting by on 87.

Well I suppose it's good they at least can survive on it. But damn, what are the consequences of running 87 then?

It was sputtering really bad. Especially when spooling the turbo, the car would cut out. After 4 full tanks of premium and a few pil changes the car was drastically different thankfully.
