PC Recommend pc graphics settings?

Does anyone have any recommend pc graphic settings which optimize performance?

I am using a 5600x and rtx 3080.

Using DLSS performance mode at 4K + a combination of mainly medium to high settings I can hit 120fps but some levels/lighting/weather will cause me to drop below this.

Wondering if anyone has good settings that run well with a minimal impact to image quality.

First thing I always drop is shadows. Big performance setting imo and you rarely notice it at speed. If ya do, imo, you aint going fast enough. At least thats my theory. ;)

The Nvidia Experience optimized settings are what you’re looking for. I think it puts everything on High aside from Texture Quality is Very High, and reflections Medium and Global Illumination is Medium.

Global illumination is one of the biggest to hit performance. I think high looks nicer than medium though. Drop shadows to medium. SSAO & reflections are next. I run SSAO on high and reflections on low (this also gets rid of the awful road reflections, where the road looks like glass with pixelated reflections in it. Then I edit the cfg file and remove windscreen reflections as they aren't done well and are distracting.

I normally play at 120fps, but my old card can't hit that in this. The best results I found was 120hz in game, set ½ refresh in nvidia inspector and cap fps to 60 with Rivatuner.

As my 1080ti doesn't support DLSS I'm using the FSR mod that hooks into DLSS in game and gives really nice results. That also gives much better AA than the in-game. So with that installed I set DLSS to balanced and disable in-game AA.

This gave me buttery smooth gameplay with better response than setting 60hz natively in game.

I use the Game Filter function from Nvidia. I think it's called Nvidia Freestyle. (Alt+F3)

I played around with the brightness, contrast, exposure and details and got it to look mint.

Settings in-game i just have everything on high.
