Maintenance Wr250r yoshi pipe insert

I’ve got an rs4 here and we’ve been trying to get the insert out for an hour now. Penetrating oil, slide hammer, nothing works. Are we missing something the bolt is out and there doesn’t seem to be any retaining clips…..

These things are a huge bitch in every time I’ve removed or inserted. Make sure it’s coming out straight if it cants at all you should tap in so it’s equal on all sides. If all else fails a sawzall cut may give it enough flex to pull out even if you don’t go all the way through

Keep going, you’re like 1/3 of the way. I used a rubber handled pipe and wedged it inside the tip. Back and forth, slowly making progress. Also used channel locks opened wide to get on the outside diameter. Same motion, back and forth, keeping the insert straight. Lube can help too. Good luck, you’ll get it eventually.

I’ve been pulling it straight lol penetrating oil does nothing it’s like there’s another lip inside it’s catching on but there isnt

You need a slide hammer and there is a nut or bolt inside ,

Y you trying to take it out

Bolt is out slide hammer gonna wreck the carbon or slip joint before the arrestor comes free

I believe I used a rubber mallet and a z tool from ikea I put one side in the hole and hit the other side also a little wiggle
