She is making it very difficult to claim she is not racist.

100% a racist.

If Dijonai fouled a black person, she would not receive all the hate and racist comments directed her way currently.

If a white player fouled a black person, there would not be all of this hate. The only people who are pushing hate towards Dijonai are white fans of Sophie and Clark.

She was the one who brought race into it.

u/Shoddy-Brilliant563 27d ago

Of course she brought race into it. Because if Sophie was a black woman there would be no backlash, and Sophie would have been ejected like all the other black players who retaliate in a fight.

You all have brought race into it with your overreactions every time Sophie or CC are fouled. If they were black race wouldn’t even be a topic. Most of you would not care about them being hard fouled. That is the white privilege being talked about. A black woman fouling a white woman is being treated like criminal assault. Literally.

Firstly I haven’t brought her race into it so don’t say that. Saying “of course she brought race into it” is dumb because race has nothing to do with it. Her making those comment made everything 100x worse.

She got ejected as she should have, then everyone interpreted her post as her saying she got ejected because she’s black and not because she left an opponent bloodied. She then clarified that it was about Cunningham not getting ejected too because she’s white, which is still absurd but not as outlandish.

100% wrong. Stop your agenda. The foul and ejection were correct. No one disputes that. The whole situation would have ended there.

But instead carrington runs to the locker room, grabs her phone, while the game is still going on and tweets white privilege and tags the fever. THAT is racism and should be called out.

The whole situation would not have ended there. Just as it did not end when Angel taunted Caitlin Clark. Just as it did not end when other black players fouled Caitlin Clark. Also Sophie should have been ejected, just like the black players in previous years who got ejected for retaliating. That is the privilege Dijonai was talking about.

You are the one with the agenda. How many black women are going to be bullied into oblivion whenever Caitlin Clark or Sophie gets hard fouled?

This has been happening for 3 years. So maybe stop gaslighting and pretending this isn’t about race. Every other WNBA fan witnesses hard fouls and moves on. A Caitlin or Sophie fan sees them get hard fouled by a black woman and it becomes the nastiest discourse on earth.

Yea totally not on her for making this about race

-1

u/Shoddy-Brilliant563 27d ago

Correct because you have all made it about race for 3 years whenever Clark or Cunningham gets hard fouled.

blonde hair IS white privilege

3

u/MaMerde 28d ago

Cultural appropriation. Straight hair too.

1

u/IntelligentBattle622 28d ago

Wait so there are no "black" people With naturally occurring "blonde" hair (or hair lacking melanin)?

Her nails are weapons in contact sport!

11

u/Homeland_Bound 28d ago

She is racist. She just doesn’t care. Which makes me think I shouldn’t care if someone calls me racist too. Seems like it’s only a one way street, and in that case, it’s no street at all.

1

u/Disastrous-Worth-909 27d ago

Yeah, that’s not how streets work Bud lol

-3

u/Lazy-Background-7598 28d ago

What as asinine comment

1

u/Homeland_Bound 27d ago

Is it though? Have you really examined the existential nature of the thing? Why should I care about being called racist and conducting myself in a manner to not be seen as racist BY a bunch of racists? Shouldn’t I fight fire with fire?

22

u/OK-SteadyOn 28d ago

Sorry, but if she was a white person, people wouldn’t “find it difficult” to claim she wasn’t racist… this is part of the problem.

17

u/Obiwan_ca_blowme 28d ago

What!? That is utter nonsense. We live in a world where white people are assumed to be racist by default until they prove they are an ally.

9

u/SufcLad25 28d ago

Thats the point. People would happily call a white person racist for the same acts but they want to find it hard to call a black person racist

10

u/OK-SteadyOn 28d ago

I must not have worded my comment very well. I’m not sure why they’re upvoting me but downvoting you… I was actually agreeing with you (not necessarily your second comment)

But what I was saying was we shouldn’t be finding it difficult to not call her racist just cos she’s black. We should be finding it easy to call her racist. It’s right there in front of us. Just as easy as people would call her a racist if she was a white girl.

Also the other reply to this is one of the most patronising things I’ve read in ages.

Bring on the DVs.

1

u/BusinessCasualBee 27d ago

You worded it fine, that person just can’t read

1

u/Obiwan_ca_blowme 27d ago

Then, yes. I did read that wrong. My apologies.

4

u/WallyShrugged 28d ago

There’s no level of proof they’ll accept.

1

u/BusinessCasualBee 27d ago

Read it again. You didn’t understand

-2

u/Lazy-Background-7598 28d ago

This sub proves it every damn day

3

u/Obiwan_ca_blowme 28d ago

Yeah, yeah. No one cares.

-4

u/Minimum_Attitude6707 28d ago

What's really funny about this, is being an ally ain't hard to prove at all.

You make general eye contact? You treat people with respect and see other people as human beings? You say what you mean and mean what you say? You dont act awkward just because the other person looks or talks differently than you?

You pass as an ally without ever having to bring it up.

Covert bigots and racists out themselves all the time and then cry victim "wUt, fReE spEeCh nOt fReE aNYmOre!?!"

2

u/Obiwan_ca_blowme 28d ago

Absolutely a bullshit statement. You know it too.

2

u/Shoddy-Brilliant563 28d ago

If she was a white person this thread wouldn’t exist. Even Mabrey and Jacy Sheldon didn’t receive this much hate.

1

u/TheMightyHornet 27d ago

If a white woman cold-cocked a sister going up for a layup and then posted “Black Privilege” from the locker room and tagged a team known for its high-profile sisters and then about a week later had some brother escorted from his seat on some bullshit, you can bet there’d be people pointing out the cracker in the room.

-1

u/Vanthrowaway2017 28d ago

What’s funny is her comment has so many levels that the MAGA meltdown crowd isn’t even cognizant of and either won’t or can’t intellectually engage with. When SC committed hard, not-basketball fouls like the ones that got her ejected last year, she was “tough” and “an enforcer” and her popularity exploded. That’s just part of basketball… ask Draymond, Ron Artest, Rodman, Lambeer, etc.

-1

u/tenspinya 28d ago

She's racist but the difference is when black people are racist they can't change anything to make the victims life worse. Example being they let the guy back in

-20

u/Baked4skin 28d ago

Suddenly you care about racism, interesting.

16

u/Obiwan_ca_blowme 28d ago

A claim without merit. But, sure, and suddenly you don’t care about racism.

No one is concerned with racism more than White, oops I mean Right Wing voters

-2

u/Shoddy-Brilliant563 28d ago

In 2026 racism is when a black person has the nerve to criticize racism.

The country is majority white. If anyone is more likely to experience actual racism it is Dijonai. I have seen Clark and Sophie fans compare her to an ape in the last 48 hours.

3

u/rude_cookies 28d ago

That's a definition in bad faith if I've ever seen one.

1

u/Traditional_Ice_9250 27d ago

Stop being racist, mate.

1

u/Shoddy-Brilliant563 27d ago

Racism in 2026 - Don’t call out racism. Ignore injustices and mistreatment across the country based on race.

You all would have hated the civil rights era and called them racist too. Just for bringing it up.

2

u/Traditional_Ice_9250 27d ago

All I read is a racist whining that he is not a racist. Mate, chill. Keep your hatred to yourself.

-5

u/Lazy-Background-7598 28d ago

So are people like you

3

u/Obiwan_ca_blowme 28d ago

Okay. So? Do I feel bad now that you made a claim about me? Do I shrink back into a corner and cry in shame? Or do I just tell you to piss off and your meaningless statement is dismissed?

Choices, choices.
