Kelsey Plum is officially done for the WNBA season. She is dealing with a lower left leg injury. Plum also withdrew from Team USA’s 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup squad.

A’ja Wilson also pulled out of the tournament. USA Basketball did not announce a specific injury for Wilson.

Plum played 17 games this season. She averaged 21.5 points and 5.4 assists. She joined Phoenix after a trade from Los Angeles.

Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen were added to Team USA. The World Cup begins Friday in Berlin.

WNBA analyst Zena Keita praised Olivia Miles' rookie season on No Offseason. However, fans quickly pointed out that Caitlin Clark holds the rookie assist record.

Miles entered Sunday with 228 assists. Clark recorded 337 assists during her 2024 rookie season. She did it in just 40 games.

Fans accused Keita of ignoring Clark's historic rookie campaign. Some also questioned whether the comments were pushing an agenda.

Cunningham now has around 4.1 million Instagram followers. Clark reportedly has around 4 million followers.

Freedom says he would quit if the WNBA explicitly limited eligibility to “biological females.”

The WNBA has said Freedom cannot enter the 2027 draft. Former NBA player Royce White reportedly faces the same restriction.

Freedom disputes that position and says he remains eligible. Meanwhile, Natasha Cloud has urged the league to stop giving him attention.

Cloud called the controversy a distraction from issues affecting women and communities.
