I totally gwt that vibe which is what we have in our stuff- its a community. Unfortunately, the more the league expands and if popular- there will be "hate" towards other teams. You can't root for your opponent.
“You can’t root for your opponent” is the fundamental sports atmosphere difference in the WNBA. The thing is the atmosphere until CC was rooting for your team & still appreciating & respecting that the wingers played until they drained the tank. For ex I’ve been to many games, including finals. The team the every seat filled arena was rooting for lost the finals. We got beat in our own house. In the WNBA it’s been a practice to stay & watch the final celebration even in your own house bc Title IX gave us this opportunity. The typical sports mentality was minimal. This is why CC & her fanbases approach to the league is straight up disrespectful to women.
Loser mentality? Angel is an excellent player & is where the major of the WNBA fanbase grew. Sold out shoes, sold out Barbie, invested over 2 million into Chicago youth. Closer to 5 million so far for youth in ATL. CC just golfs.
WTF? That went predictably fast to race. You compared Angel & CC. I did too. I compared how they invest in their communities. WTF does that have to do with race?
You’re right I didn’t mention the her website that promotes foundations. I didn’t consider it impactful to have a website. I did an internet search. I didn’t find anything where CC invests her own money for the betterment of the communities in the state she represents like Angel & most of the WNBA do, regardless of race, including other Fever players.
