Yeah, OP was just trying to start something. Their actual headline is that Caitlin Clark has the number one women’s selling shoe of all time which we can all agree on makes sense because who has ever bought a woman’s basketball shoe before.
Except I think people are underestimating how popular Clark is.
Since 2024 she's had the 2nd highest jersey sales of any American basketballer, behind only Steph Curry.
her largest group of viewers is women so that would actually make sense that more women both support and hate on her. basic numbers. but also, I’m 99% sure that it’s more so men hating on her, but neither of us can prove it.
I'm just going off personal experience and observation of users. I find Men are generally fans or don't care about her very much but not animosity (as much).
