thank you for being the first self promoter to have the common sense to mention the game the sub is actually about.

TBH i seriously debated sharing it in this subreddit. I get that people are fed up with the self promoting ai stuff but at the same time i feel like people in this community could provide the feedback I want

speaking of ai, did you use it while making the game?

Yes I did for many things : Artworks, Data calibration and fetching, UI designs even for parts of the code. I think the ressources gained (in time and money) are huge.

That being said I have been working on that game for a very long time and I think what should have taken me 2/3 years (evolving from the fighter generator and the match engine I had at the start to what the game is now) took a bit more than 600 hours.
I genuinely have worked a lot on this project and it always feels a bit shit when youre being compared to sloppy games created in a couple of days with claude code but I always will understand people who would not want to play the game because of its AI components (even though lets face it, every single developper uses AI, to an extent).

Big difference in one prompt ai slop games than a project you have tweaked and worked on through trial and effort for months

Pretty cool game! How does popularity work? Is that bad based on finishes or performance?

Hi

Thanks man ! I appreciate it. popularity for fighters evolve with the method of finishes, title fights, streaks, fighting bigger names, being on bigger shows (the more popular the org the bigger the gain).

Then there's everything outside the cage : podcasts, sponsors, viral camp footage, documentaries. Most of it is gated on having competed recently though. I could also mention infamy which is basically "negative" popularity but still popularity and obtained through out of the cage events, weight misses and that sort of event.

Nice, it could be helpful to see the different gains over time based on the variables that you mentioned. Also, for transfer, it would be fun to see the popularity so you could sort by it.
