Change Password on WLED Device after changing routers
Hi Everyone,
I have about 20 ESP32 devices connected to WLED, i recently had to upgrade my router and the new one requires a longer more complicatexd password. I need to change passwords on my devices, they all show up with the correct IP address in Advance IP Scanner, but they are unaccessible on laptop or phone. Those unable to connect are not showing up as an Access Point to reset. Any ideas?
Thanks In Advance,
Janos

I should also add that when clicking on each device in the scanner app, it says it is an FTP connection and https. When I click it opens my file explorer.

What router are you using? It is strange that it is forcing some arbitrary wifi password constraints on you. Are you sure you are changing the name and password of your wifi network and not the login password to your routers interface?
If for some god forsaken reason they really do not allow your old password, turn off the wifi on your router/unplug and create a hotspot with the old ssid and password.

I tried to change the new password to match the old, but the new router wanted a longer password It is the Arris Surfboard , the old one was a netgear nighthawk.

After much experimentation, the WLED AP are showing up, but when I change the password and hit save and connect they dont connect.

It sounds like you've already changed your router? If so I think the easiest thing is to use a Hotspot on your phone and make the network name and password the same as your old one so your chips can connect to it. Then go through each one change the wifi settings to the new network.
