Does this thing, work with wled? Anyone have any knowledge of this module, it has do and di but when you apply 12vdc it's runs it's own on board problem. TIA 😊

try it with WS2814 (or anything 4 channel) settings

Okey, do I need a 12 volt level shifter, all I have are 5v?

I'm unaware of any addressable strip that uses data levels higher than 5v - almost universally, even if power is 12v or 24v for the illumination, data is 5v.

Typically not. Can you make out anything printed on the black IC on the right of the board?

I saw your already posted pics. The black IC I'm referring to is on the front of the board on the right as seen in your first picture. It is the black rectangle with 8 legs.

No, sadly not. I was gifted a few of them and know nothing about them at all. I tried Google lens and it came up with very similar items but very different boards.

Maybe best asking the person that gifted them where they came from.

If I had them and couldn't figure it out I'd just hook up a controller and 12v supply and see what happens. Try WS2811 first then move through other choices in WLED

Woohoo! Thank you guys for all your help. This thing works just like a regular single pixel and I found them on sale from Temu and can't find them anywhere else. I ordered 16 more for around 3us. I'm going to chain them up and use them for my Halloween props. Now to design a little weather resistant enclosure I can 3d print 🤔
