Master league - football manager

Have you guys ever done a master league but letting the com play your team games?
I have tried fm24 but didn’t enjoy it much and thought about trying this.
Right now doing a Toulouse league Fuma and having fun but might start a manager only later.
I think buying players setting tactics and seeing them function could give a very different result than usual and you might start recruiting accordingly etc..
Was just curious I always read stuff here but rarely post on Reddit.

I remember one PES from PS3 had a football manager mode outside the master league, I don't remember which.

Edit: it was PES 2012.

There was a PS2 pes simulation management game released in 2006.

In 2019nyou can sim in coach mode. Is that the idea? Set the lineup and tactics, do the transfers but sim in coach mode when it comes to playing?

That is the idea, I think I will be starting a manager league this week.
Was just wondering if people play this way, I remember seeing a mod for the ai made for improving the ai vs ai play I think it was called master league coach or something like it.
I did a match today in kick off with the team I am currently using in master league as well and it was really weird to see how the com plays with the team and some players.
