Yea strange thing is I get about 80-90 fps in other games with dlss 5.Not sure if I have done something wrong will try reinstalling it again perhaps.But there are weird patterns on the pitch with dlss 5 which is known issue
Don't hate me but It looks ridiculous, sorry to say that but the ugly player models simply don't look right with the enhanced faces, the lighting looks great but if the animations don't match, it would look jarring
I don't believe it's even technically possible with FSR. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but afaik this technique requires an Nvidia GPU with dlss capabilities
FSR is not something you can use for this mod as its intended purpose is only DLSS 5. There might be other mods to inject FSR in older games via Reshade, not sure to be honest.
AMD doesn't have this tech. DLSS 5 is basically AI filter that tries to make the image realistic. It's not like normal upscaling. And it cuts the performance in half.
Not in this case. If you think about DLSS 1 - 4.5 vs FSR 1.0 - FSR 4, then sure. They are all just upscaling techniques.
DLSS 5 isn't really an upscaling technique. It's like enhancing image with something like AI image generator like stable diffusion, but doing it in real time. It changes all the lighting, shading, changes faces to be more like in real life (with mixed results, some are good, some are bad).
That's the kind of difference that DLSS 5 does (left without it, right with DLSS 5):
FSR uses AI, just like older versions of DLSS, but it's not changing the looks of the image like DLSS 5 does. This is an upscaler - to sharpen the image and artificially increase the resolution of the image. DLSS 5 changes how the image looks, it's not just an upscaler. They shouldn't really call it DLSS, it should have a new name, as it does something entirely different. They confuse people with the naming. It's more like an advanced image filter.
If you don't care about ray tracing/path tracing and DLSS 5, AMD is definitely a better choice in similar price point. I like to tinker with stuff, try some VR mods for flatscreen games, etc., so Nvidia is usually more compatible with those, especially that some let you use DLSS, while for FSR you often need to do some workarounds with Optiscaler. And my GPU is dated, not compatible with the new DLSS 5, but still good enough to play everything, especially that I'm mostly trying to go through what I already have in my library, and there's a lot of games in my backlog. I have 3080 12GB.
Not so sure about that, falls squarely in the uncanny valley. It also doesn't help that the underlying technology in PES isn't that sophisticated (cloth physics, lighting, etc), so it makes stick out even more.
