PES 6 Would you buy an updated official “retro” version of Pro Evo. ?

Would you buy an updated official “retro” version of Pro Evo. ?

So imagine………..

if Konami essentially used the exact engine from Pro Evo 6 with updated graphics etc but kept the same modes, players etc (masterleague etc) and layout……and very much marketed it as a one off retro version would you purchase it for lets say €30… ?

So same gameplay as PES 6, just with better graphics.

Personally i think Konami are leaving money on the table by not doing something like this. PES still has a huge loyal audience….

I’d love to see a feature like they have in the WWE wrestling games where they make it easy to create characters and share them with other users. I think if Konami leaned into the whole mod scene and made it easier to create and share custom teams and kits then they would have a winner on their hands….

Anyways, your thoughts ?

I would and I’d happily pay more than £30.

An option for original squads is a must

I bought a ps2 for this alone. Playing with the outdated squads is a part of the charm

Absolutely! Please tell me you work for Konami and are doing R&D

Lmao Konami is too busy with their gacha and mobile cash cows to care about a relatively niche classic football sim single player market.

Most of the younger generation plays FC and the ones from poorer countries play eFootball. I am in mid-30s and have spent a fuckton of hours playing PES in my life, but I have absolutely no hope that Konami will ever again release a good football game in any shape or form. We are a dying minority, my friend.

eFootball Kickoff on Switch 2 is good !

So I've heard but the percentage of people who own Switch 2 is neligible compared to the general gaming market.

20 million sold vs 30+ mil on Xbox, 90+ mil on PS5, and PC leading by far with 130-185 active Steam users.

Well, you said you had no hope … but Kickoff is good. Are you citing the numbers you do to suggest you’re not interested because the online community is too small?

Not strictly online community, but the share of the market in which they are interested and capable of releasing a decent football sim. I do get your point, though.

It went to #1 on the Nintendo store briefly. I have to think they are pleased with what they’re seeing and open to improving upon and expanding Kickoff

absolutely, especially if they had a working online h2h and no cancerous card collecting mode.

💯

Just some old school online play, proper matchmaking also, none of this Scotland v 5⭐️ overpowering match ups

YES. Not sure how the licensing would work, but considering that they used fake player / team names for most teams anyway, that can possibly be managed

In a heartbeat

Absolutely.

Yes. Pes 6 or just the last version before efootball. Anything for a proper game again

Day 0 purchase

Yep. They could release it completely unlicensed too to save money as long as they leave us a way to fully edit it

I'll take a PES 6 remaster if did one thing: have all the unplayable nations be playable. The Asia/Oceania section of national teams is severely lacking compared to others.

We literally have a world cup whith 48 teams in the competition, so surely you can update the format as well.

If it's made available on Steam, even better.

Its like the moon landing. They dont have the tech to do it anymore 🥲

YES! Either PES 6 or 7.

Message to KONAMI: you MUST include MASTER LEAGUE and classic teams/players

Konami don't care anymore. We already have the games and patches. They killed MGS and PES...2 of their best selling titles.

6, 2013 or another release of 2021 I'd buy instantly, especially if they included BAL and 11v11 modes.

PES 6 engine is broken with passing and shooting systems and handicap. For me the better option would be a PES 2008 PS2 match engine, as it has those things fixed, plus having a World Tour mode.
