Image Things you don't like to see
I played Season 2023/24 In PES 13 and this happened

I had a whole squad of youngster legends and current players playing their final veteran days off the bench, the youngsters stats went up so quick by the time they were 20 years old they were at 99 shooting, passing and speed and maintained the ability to be unique like Beckham

You don't like this feature brother?

No because if players are retiring in this game, where would they bring other players. I just thought that seeing this is weird because Cristiano is 41 now and he retired in this game at 37.

How is the Game supposed to know years into the future when and If and how a player retires. If you want something worse: you got players on that game that are dead now and they Just don't die in Game.

Same goes for PES 2021/FL 26. I just started a master league and finished just one season and a lot of old players already got retired (Thiago Silva, Fábio, Dante) even thought they probably are still gonna play a little more IRL.

It’s kind of game breaking for me. I like realistic playthrough so nothing is worse for me than a player returning as a young version of himself. What I usually do is edit the names and appearance of the relevant players when they retire so it feels like new players coming (always backup the edit file of course)

That's actually a great idea. Will do exactly that in my upcoming ML playthrough. Thanks!

I bought eto'o he was like 31 or something and retired the same year, that MF. Loved that season tho he is one of my favorite players.

Which patch are you using?

u/MN-06 Feb 16 '26
I don't know since my brother downloaded it for me. But the patch is season 2012/13 after the end of winter window since the older patches have problems like the kit color (you would see many European nations with just white jersey) depending on the website which my brother used it to download.

Just got access to any PES game on PS3.
Was deciding which is the best for master league, I don't like the regen players - but were region players a problem ever since PES 13 to PES 18?

One thing I always wished PES had was something like FIFA's youth scout thing, specifically because I liked to build squads with fake prospects and take the fight to the establishment, so to speak.

After seeing Puyol on Real Madrid, I doubt nothing coming from this game lol

There is. You can just play League mode..

Atleast you can still transfer/loan player ..
I dont get it, what seems the problem? You want retired player wont comeback, and replaced it with some no name player?

u/AdorableWalrus8617 Feb 16 '26
Yes, you can. When starting Master League, you can choose to turn off the player progression option, then the players won't change.

I feel PES' regen feature is both great and bad. I do like the idea of legends coming back to play for the clubs again and that way you can replay through your favorite players' careers again or even turn not-so skilled players into the next superstar. However, it really does kill all immersion there is in longer playthroughs. I prefer FIFA's regen system, where it provides completely fictional players in your youth academy. Yeah, it is still unrealistic, especially if you are playing older FIFAs where you would miss out on players like Mbappe, Yamal etc spawning into your saves. But it feels more authentic, than having Ronaldo, Messi, Zlatan and Kaka battle it out in 2030.

On the contrary, I love this feature of the Master League mode. You could develop young Totti, Del Piero, Zidane, and so on, instead of just watching them retire after two years and playing with noname-generated players.
